Your generation saddled us with so much debt that every other generation is going to live like 3rd world beggars to pay it all back.
Your generation gave up raising their kids so they could work more to buy more "stuff".
Your generation lived through the prolific economic boom in history due to easy credit but still don't have any fricking money ....so you'll work till you're 75 and raise hell if anybody even mentions cuts to your Social Security.
Just generally speaking of course....

My generation didn't vote for the fool that increased the debt double the increase in the 8 years prior to his election.
My kids were raised by a mother that didn't work until they were in middle school and a father that never missed a school or church event and showed them love.
Don't know about some, but since I retired I have lived comfortably without begging or working at Walmart.
As for cutting my Social Security, I paid into it from the time I was 14 until I retired, so whatever I get is payback of my own money the government forcibly took from me. Made more on my personal investments and retirement plans that the government will ever pay me.
Generally speaking, of course. frick off.

First of all...I didn't say you....I said your generation. That said:
A lot of them did because when a conservative starts talking about balancing the budget they get scared they may have to give something up. Everyone has seen the fiscal crisis of SS and Medicare coming since the 70's but the debt kept rising and your generation refused to pay attention and vote for people that could've fixed the problem.
I applaud you. Your generation still basically invented the two parent working family which led to the x generation of latch key kids and the whole idea that dads aren't necessary. But as long as they could buy another McMansion with debt it was okay if they only saw their kids on Sunday.
Good for you. But your generation still clogs up business by basically playing the waiting game to see how long they can get paid before being forced out....because they didn't save enough from the most profitable market in history to retire.
So in typical boomer fashion, despite the fact that your living comfortably you'd rather have the govt. "forcibly" take money from everyone else so YOU get YOURS. Medicare bankrupting the country...not MY problem. WE created this mess and WE don't care if its unfixable...WE want what's coming to US.
Too bad your generation didn't say that to all the politicians that tricked you with shiny things and debt over the past 50 years rather than addressing the fiscal issues that are going to bankrupt the country.

you're typical of the bunch that wants to blame everyone but himself.
You have no idea who I have voted for and supported but you're quick to say it's all my fault. Do you tell YOUR parents they are to blame? Do you also understand that YOU are also to blame? Which politician did you vote for that has changed anything for the better?

I fell off a 30' extension ladder once.
I rode a thirty foot extension ladder to the ground once with a 10' stick of 4" schedule 40 pipe on my shoulder...the feet of the ladder slid and the dam thing slid down the face of the building it was leaned against.....seemed like it took about 2 hours to get to the ground. I had time to throw the pipe to the side.
I was literally laying face down on the ground with the ladder under me and didn't get a bruise....did split a brand new pair of Liberty overalls down the crotch though....which was a good thing because it vented the mess that I had made inside of those same overalls....even if the crotch hadn't exploded they weren't going to be much good after that....

Nobody is crying and I know I am certainly no liberal hippy, but it just grinds my gears when I hear the previous generation talk down to my generation after they committed a laundry list of screw ups. Get off your high horse.

Oh yeah...I forgot the boomers in their youth were the original liberal hippies.
I guess one thing the Boomers excelled at was quality music...they've got that to fall back on.

No shite...I don't remember shucking it but it was about 15 feet from the landing zone and that shite don't bounce even from 30 feet.
Old, bad kneed offensive linemen have no business leaving the ground afoot....
