So if people are up for it again, we can do another pick'em for the Open Championship this week. Pick 4 players on each day, and one of those players has to be a former UGA player. Those four scores will add up to make your total score from the day, and we will combine the 4 day total to see who the winner is. Baxter was our US Open pick'em winner.

UGA Players: Brian Harman, Brendon Todd, Bubba Watson, Russell Henley, Kevin Kisner, Harris English.

FIELD

You cannot pick any player more than once, unless there are less than 4 UGA players left on the weekend. Good luck to all.

Should we consider improving on the format?

I hope that there are Dawgs in contention on the weekend, but if it turns out like u.s. open, then it gets awkward on sat and sun.

What if we did Match Play for first two days?

Two pickem participants go head to head with 4 picks.....their one seed competing against the others one seed for a point...2 seed against the others 2 seed for point....etc on down thru 4 picks.

Pickem Winners of Match Play make the weekend cut...and we go back to 4 picks stroke play for the title.

Just brainstorming.

I'm willing to do whatever yall would like. That would be tough if we had an odd number of people, and we would have to figure out a way to break the tie, but if we figure something out I'd be more than happy to do it.

I like that a lot. Let's do the same format and we'll pick 2 guys to win the tournament. If you get your top guy correct you lose 10 strokes off your score, if he finishes in the top 5 you get 5 strokes off, and if he finishes in the top 10, you get 2 strokes off. If your second guy wins you get 5 strokes off, if he finishes in the top 5, you get 3 strokes off, and if he finishes top 10, you get one stroke off.

That work?

That's a lot of points.

Maybe quadruple-eagle if either of your pick wins, triple-eagle for second, etc thru birdie for 5th. And quad-bogey if they miss cut.

Otherwise somebody can suck balls with their daily picks but win the pickem if they get lucky.

Again, just suggestions. What do you think?

10 strokes really isn't that many IMO, and picking one guy out of 150 to win is incredibly impressive. If any one else echoes your point, or has suggestions I'm always open to them.

We can duplicate winner picks that some one else has, correct?

Dawgsontop - I will be around this weekend. Had to leave last time due to some other stuff. Will play if you give me the go ahead this go 'round. Understand if I didn't make the cut though.

I don't care about that man. I was just messing with you last time. You're more than welcome to participate.

It will also be easier to get picks in this time because you have pretty much all day to make them.

But...... most are just going to pick their winners out of the handful who are the favorites to win. Not from the whole field. Not even close.

It even already sounds like people will be picking the same players to win....

With the weather, scoring will be at par or worse possibly. Yet a winner is worth 10-under?

Seems out of balance to me.
