He fired Richt. Richt didn't need to be fired. He sucks.

You'd be wrong. CMR def needed to be fired.

That's all right. These things gotta happen every five years or so, ten years. Helps to get rid of the bad blood. Been ten years since the last one.

I don't think he should get the chance. All the sports ( that people pay to see ) are 2nd tier at best. He has not fixed any of them. Why should he get the chance with the Big Dawg, the one hat makes the ship go. He does not deserve to be the AD. The president should step in and FIRE GM TODAY!

If Pruitt wants to stay, Smart wants Pruitt to stay, Pruitt leaves and we get Boom... he should be kicked in the gnads for that alone. Then fired.

McGarity is going to be a burr under the saddle of any coach that isn't his personal anointed (read: Mullen). It'll be the same conflict redux as what got CMR fired. There will be budgeting constraints, tension in B-M, ad nauseum. Ears wants his guy, and if he were able to install his guy, the money would likely flow like water. Otherwise, he's going to continue to be an obstinate jackass.
This is the 47,352nd reason this yahoo needs to go.

didn't want to start a new thread so I'll put this here, but here is an OUTSTANDING article on exactly why mcgarity is a bum.
Warning: it's very, very long but if you've got some spare time it's absolutely worth a read. A very quick, brief sum up:
-most things of note won under his watch were by dooley hires
-practically none of his hires have done a thing
-extremely slow moving with upgrades to facilities
-zero PR savvy

Agree with the OP. Some people just can't be satisfied. He fired Richt. Let's see what he does next and then judge. The expectation of having a new home run hire in 48 hrs is ridiculous
