(Disclaimer: Stolen from the main board)

No Dawgs were on first OR second all conference teams (coaches poll). Maybe we would've broken the surface if there had been a 3rd team.

Not terribly surprised, had some guys have good games but no one really played at a high level consistently for the season...

There was plenty of talent on this team....

Yeah, the cupboard was bare where it mattered.

Now if we can get our separatists fans to STFU and get behind Kirby.

I mean we really didn't deserve any spots, but you could make an argument for IMac on second team as RS and Trent Thompson.

Trent didn't have the stats, but he was deserving of a 2nd team spot. He was a major disruptive force on the interior.

First time since 1990
Only Sanders had a legitimate shot I guess.

You are absolutely right. There is no place on this board for people that would criticize the coach. We should squash any negative posts stat.

Other than Roquan Smith, no one really earned a spot this year

Trent Thompson should have gotten some love!

That team went 4-7, for reference.

Were you posting this last year or the year before? I'll criticize Kirby or any other coach or player when it is deserved.

I think he should have been included. His stats are legit.

This was a judgement of performance more than talent.

And just how did you arrive at that conclusion when there is a well documented correlation between the performance of the best teams like Alabama and talent/recruiting rankings? LINK

Becuase we had 2 On the pre season all SEC 1st team and at least 2 on the ALL SEC second team. Two of these were offensive lineman. These were voted on by coaches due to past performances. These players obviously didn't perform as well during the current season, hence the difference....

They were on the preseason lists mostly because they are veteran offensive linemen at Georgia, imo. Most people don't put a ton of thought into these lists, especially preseason.

Pyke may be a mid-late draft pick at guard, Kublanow won't be drafted. Neither will Catalina.

Point is, they were considered talented enough from previous seasons to be on the list....
