Chubb won’t win the Heisman but It would be nice for him to get an invite.

He would have to do a lot more in the second half of the season to be considered.

Barkley, Mayfield, Love, Hurts, Jackson, and Taylor are easily ahead of him right now.

But Nick has the storyline. That's very very powerful.

At least for an invite and a segment.

You do realize invites are based of the votes right? There could be as little as two guys invited or as many as five. It all depends on how close the votes are, and that comes from play on the field, and somewhat how your team is doing.

LF7 played in 32 games in college.

Chubb finished his 32nd game in the final game of the 2016 season.

Below stats do not include anything from this season.

Through those first 32 games...

Fournette
6.2 ypc

Chubb
6.4 ypc

This is going on the Rant tomorrow morning. Anyone want to fact-check me first?

Just checked it. You're correct.

EDIT: Hard to really count the UT game his sophomore year. He started, but he was done after one carry.

With Chubb's 70 yards vs mizzou. He now only needs 479 yards.

Hopefully he runs wild on the dreadful upcoming defenses we have left.

I hope Chubb gets over 100 ypg through the end of the season, gets a 1st round paycheck, and is able to retire healthy and wealthy and take care of his family's town.

He's a DGD and I want nothing but the best for that fine young man.

I hope he does too, but 3 out of our last 5 opps are ranked in the top 30 in rush defense...not exactly dreadful

Chubb still has more rushing yards than Barkley. We just don't ever throw to him. Why I don't know. We don't even really throw the ball to Michel.

He should get way over that, even with the splitting of carries. He's just shy of 700 already with 5 games left, and potentially many more.

He'd be in the NFL if he didn't get injured in Knoxville, but I hear ya.

How about if Gurley wasn't hurt half the time, and he didn't sell that merch....

This is half of the story that at least in part explains our underachievement over the years. The team we fielded was often no where near the quality of the team we recruited. Hopefully that trend has been turned around under Kirby.

He's going to get way over 1,000 yards PER GAME? Damn, 1K/ypg would be impressive enough, but "way over" that? That will be interesting to watch.
