Can we talk about Chubb for a moment? I'm not saying he's terrible or a puss but he looks totally human now. It has to be the injury or his confidence. Obviously the o line is hot garbage but this used to be a man who broke leg tackles easy and always got one yard. Now to me he just looks like a pretty decent back. Not the superman he once was. Timid may be the word. Unc defense and the adrenaline were enough for week one but since then I just dont know.

You try running behind that pitiful O-line and see how timid you'd get.

he missed a lot of holes and reads today.

Not sure why Herrien only got a couple of carries.

Two things I noticed:
1. Vanderbilt did an excellent job tackling today. They were hitting him at his ankles repeatedly and that tripped him up.

2. Our OLine seemed to be running sideline to sideline on a lot of plays and not pushing downfield looking for a man to block. I noticed this happening all game long today, not sure what the deal was.

Chubb is definitely not the same player he was before the injury. Love the guy but really we should be running Michel and Herrien most of the time. Chubb just doesn't have that quick first step he once had and he goes down like a sack of potatoes after the first hit.

He was pretty average today, for sure

Michel was no better today. The run blocking and gameplan was atrocious and Chaney refused to adjust.

Agreed. The O-line has been hit and miss with run blocking all season but mostly miss. It is tough for any back when the plays are getting blown up behind the line or at least at the line but Chubb does not seem to be as explosive as he once was, like he has dead weight in his legs. I did not see Herrien run any today, must have missed it but lately he seems to be hitting the "holes"...what little we have, harder than anyone else.

Seemed the V defense was using a guy to slide at his feet if there were more than 1 white jersey while he attacked the edge as if they were coached to do it. He tripped over a blocker at least 3 times. Also, he's not that far removed from an ankle sprain

Injury, mainly. He is, by all accounts, stronger, but he has lost a bit of his quickness....just a touch. That is the last thing to return after an injury like his.

Also, the other teams are stacking the box to stop him. He just can't beat 8 in the box. No RB can.
