Sure, but there is nothing innovative about covering up a TE and turning him into a 250 lbs Tackle...

Fully agree. I don't see this as being the primary formation for our offense, but just another wrinkle that could give us the opportunity to take advantage of that deep position group.

I only copied one image, there were several there and the article discusses it at more length. Incorporating pre-snap reads and movements may or may not change eligibility there, but again, it's about taking advantage of available talent pool.

Did someone who played football write that? Just curious based on the formations.

Frankly, you can use Guys with TE frames as H backs or FBs that go in motion as well as running them in the Y... Good for blocking and a nice big target spread a tad further out into the zone.
