Texas fans fricking loathed Applewhite. If we hire him then we will likely do the same considering our track record of hating OCs

Major Applewhite is not the man behind the success of Houston. It's obvious that's Herman's baby.

Helton & Napier seem to be in the same situation with Brohm and McElwain.

That leaves Elliot with actual play calling of late.

So the question is who is better equipped to take the step out from under the shadow?

I personally think Meacham is a stronger candidate than Gran.

I won't turn my nose up at either Meachem or Gran, especially given some of the aforementioned options.
