I'm sure we will. To be fair though we probably have more tix to give them since our stadium holds 12,000 more than theirs.

We each get 8000 tickets and 413 support tickets (cheerleaders, band, etc).

I believe the most they ever do is 7000 with USC. That's what this guy told me. However, he could just be assuming based on that.

These buses sound fun and honestly a better time than staying in South Bend. More affordable too.

Are they just assuming it's going to be a night game? I feel like we get screwed on big games a lot.

I really want to afford this trip but if a ticket isn't going to be less than 300 or something damn.

Anybody know if South Bend is worth a damn on Friday night? Right now our plan is flying to Chicago on Wednesday and leaving Monday. I like to see how the other half lives and would like to party in South Bend on Friday night but it might be too much of a pain in the arse.

South bend sucks.

Also, this game will be on NBC and they are probably preparing for a 6 or 7pm game. No way NBC doesn't make this a prime time game

My early plan is to drive from Cincinnati to Chicago on Thursday or Friday and stay there and trek to south bend. Night or two out in wrigleyville and then all day south bend on Saturday. Will likely be with 5-10 uga alums and a notre dame fan from Akron

I'll be coming from Akron. Easy four hour trip down the turnpike.

Depends on the rest of the national schedule. I know ND only recently started doing prime time home games, though, and as far as I know, they've only done them so far if it's one of their rivals coming to town (USC, Michigan, Mich St, Stanford). I'm expecting a 3:30 kickoff.

Both....Gary isn't that great either. Chicago is by far your best bet and will make the most of your trip if you're going.

Understatement. Gary is one of the worst shitholes in America.

Also only 90 miles from South Bend down I-90.

I"m tinkering wiht the idea of staying in south bend for saturday night only. Thurs/Fri nights in chicago are a definite.

Just really don't want to fool with driving the 90 miles back after the game saturday night.

I am in south bend for 3 nights. As of now, I have two rooms. Doubtful I will need both though.

Just some patience. If I don't need it, and you want it, I would have no problem sliding it to you.

Dawg Rant bus from Athens to Southbend?

I drove from Gary Indiana to Mableton, Georgia in a little less than 8 - 1/2 hours one time so I could watch Georgia and LSU on TV....probably couldv'e got a room in Kentucky and caught the game but this was back in the day when there was the Jefferson Pilot game of the week and there wasn't a real good way to tell which game would be televised where you were...South Bend is a couple of hours east of Gary....
