We need a Qb for success no matter who our head coach is. Do what we need to do to get one on campus.

What if "what we need to do" is fire Mark Richt?

What say you Brian? If no, pray tell, what is "what we need to do"?

The biggest problem this year is the Qb position. Without Eason, that same problem remains even with a new coach.

Incorrect, using cooking analogies is absurd. The only judgment you cna make on a coach is his track record and what he is 100% currently responsible for.Do you think for 1 second Hutson Mason comes CLOSE to his 2014 numbers (67%,21/4) IF Scotty takes over the offense in 2014?C'mon,be absolutely honost with yourself.

When exactly have you ever given Bobo credit for his Offenses or QB development?

Such a shame that the analogy is way over your head. Logically, it makes sense for just about any situation of this nature. Messes created by the previous guy can't be fixed by the new guy over night. It takes time and talent, and we had neither. Give the new guy the 2014 o roster and schedule and I do think the results are much much better. Murray was a great Qb under bobo, never said otherwise, and it was dumb for you to put words in my mouth like that.

This is weird. For years I have wanted a new coach. Most negadawgs have been in the minority but I come here and have friends now who have officially given up on Richt. I never really thought the day would come but even the most ardent Richt folks I know have simply had enough.

I agree with what another poster said. I had someone ask me, pretty dumbly, if I was happy that my doubts for Richt seemed to have merit. Obviously I said I wasn't happy to see this dumpster fire but really I am just numb to it all. I expected to lose yesterday and while I was pissed like everyone else I just moved on. Because we simply have grown accustomed to this bullshite.

I look forward to having passion back in the fan base and excitement. I dont give two fricks if some High Schooler wont come if Richt leaves. We are going to be in trouble with or without him and I am willing to take that risk. It's going to take time for a new staff to come in and fix Georgia. I just hope they don't get lazy with the hire. That said, I think it's more than Richt who needs revvaluation. McGarity needs to feel a little more pressure because our big money sports are abysmal (well, UGA bball is better than it has been I guess)

It's just sad, dude. The whole reason so many of us assholes who wanted Richt gone early was to avoid exactly what is happening. The slow erosion and subsequent slide into irrelevance. And for what? What did we gain by being patient with Richt? Better classes for him to waste? A now pretty congested HC market? frick, I think that the only folks left rooting for Richt are ones who get 4 hour erections when they think about Richt using this loss as a god damn life lesson.

We aren't quite into Frank Beamer and Mack Brown territory yet, but we are headed down that road.

We are the second best job on the market behind Southern Cal, IF WE DO THIS NOW.

I agree with both of these points. VT has completely eroded as has Texas. I feel like we are where FSU was with Bobby.

As for the job, that is very true. I just don't like the crop out there...except I really have grown to want Houston & Temple coaches. Kind of like soup of the day, sure, but I think any of those two or Fuente would be lovely.

I guess the main fear isn't the market but the men doing the hiring.

That's very true. Not sure how much input ol' Jere has there but it cant be coincidence that the program is spending more now.

Would you be kind of irked if they went the lazy route and promoted Pruitt/hired Kirby Smart?

Got screwed by a bad bounce vs Bama in 2012, a ton of injuries in 2013, and the gurley suspension last year.

Far from it...food analogy is way too simplistic for the situation.

There's absolutely NOTHING in his resume or history to back up this statement.Absurd to think he would have come close to Bobo's success last year.
Please give me your reasoning for thinking the results would have been "much, much better".

How bout the success of his offense in '11,'12 and '13?
Wow,we didn't have a debate about his offense? You didn't complain about his lack of "sustained drives" in your laughable defense of CTG?

THIS

and we are THE BEST job for someone that does not want to live on the Left Coast, someone that grew up eating grits and greens...

I mean, we are competing with Miami (New York South) and South Kakalaka

That's it. AND we have demonstrated that we are pretty damned patient, job security at UGA is a little less heated than at a school like Auburn, Tennessee or Alabama. A top notch guy would come to Athens KNOWING that he has a 4 or 5 year shot

Come on brother, at some point, you have to fight through adversity and accomplish your goal anyway. the big problem is that it is EVERY YEAR.

plus, our football team looks outclassed in big games anymore.

What the frick was up with our guys acting like ghetto hoods and taunting Alabama before the game? And then getting their shite pushed in.

We are turning into a laughingstock. your arguments about Bobo recruited and trained QB's is pretty thin as well. i'd take Coach bobo back YESTERDAY if we could do that.

Mark rich will probably win another conference championship and even make the playoffs. I believe he can do that. At Miami.

it's time for us to move on though.

Without Aaron Murray or Todd Gurley I think Richt would already be gone. Looking back I wonder how much our staff helped Murray, or how much Murray helped our staff.

And for someone who doesn't want the national media up his arse 24/7. I hadn't even considered these factors. In some respects, we could be even more attractive than SoCal.

Coaches would jump in line to come here. With the cut throat coaching world, who wouldn't want the job security UGA offers.

So we fire Richt because 9 or so wins a season isn't good enough and that equals job security?

The next guy coming in will understand that the reason he's here is because the Belk Bowl isn't good enough. I think he'd be on a pretty short chain at that point.
