If he stays, and it looks like will, I doubt Saban will let him recruit in any official capacity for Alabama. Working for one school while activitly recruiting against them doesn't seem like something Kirby would do.

He has to recruit for Georgia though. You can't really do that without recruiting against Alabama

If, big if, Smart cuts ties with bama on Sunday, how does the dynamic work with Kirby in Athens getting started AND Richt still in Athens preparing to coach the bowl game?

Has this happened before? Is what's his face already in Blacksburg even though Beamer still has a bowl to coach?

I see clusterfrick storms clouds brewing on the horizon.

Well more interesting would be, if CMR takes a job soon. Then who's coaching the bowl game?

The cluster frick clouds aren't on the horizon. The program has been overcast with cluster frick clouds most of the season with occasional downpours of frick me rain.

If it's just on the horizon now, I'll take that as an improvement.

OSU had two coaching staffs with Urbs. He went on the recruiting trail while the former staff coached in a bowl game.

After the big deal Richt made about getting to coach his team one more time in the bowl game, I can't imagine a scenario where he backs out now.

Seems most logical. Richt and Co prepare for the game. Kirby and the boys hit the trail

I'm hearing Pruitt cleaned out his office.

By his, I mean Richt's. He made him leave the cross.... And then turned it upside down. All the blood is yet to be shed....

I imagine a scene from the exorcist when Pruitt walks into that hallowed office...cross immediately swings upside down, all glass shatters, etc

Makes sense, I guess we'll see how valuable Saban feels Kirby is if he lets him coach Bama while recruiting and possibly stealing recruits from him..........

Then Pruitt turns into a Minotaur and chops McGarity's head off with a double sided battle axe and then licks the blood of the walls as it squirts from his jugulars. I totally want to see this movie.

I'm sure you all have seen this, but reports that Derrick Ansley, DB coach at UK, is likely to join CKS.

Why, McGarity would name Shitty as interim HC. Won't the board light up then!

That story was not supposed to hit the press yesterday and was filled with inaccuracies.

There are probably only 3 people at Georgia and at Bama that could have leaked the story. If it leaked then the powers that be are the reason. As for inaccuracies, that's the nature of the press. They'll get the story half right with another month of research.

So whats the word with DC? I know nobody know for sure but my assumption is Muschamp is Kirby's first choice. But what if he goes to USCe for a hc gig. Do we keep Pruitt?

That would be glorious.

Sadly, I'm not holding my breath. Also, if USCjr doesn't go after Lincoln Riley, they're idiots.

Sounds most like WM to USCe, Pruitt to Bama, and we have to find god knows who.
