Marcus Marshall has about six weeks left at home before he starts school in Atlanta, but he has already started college back home in North Carolina.
"I graduated in December so I have been taken classes at State and I'm hoping one will transfer over to Tech. I know the other one won't, but that has kept me busy along with the workout manual from coach Sisk."

With the injuries to C.J. Leggett and Quaide Weimerskirch, Marshall says he is ready to compete out of the gate this fall.

"I heard about what happened to C.J. and Quaide and I hope they get better fast, but I'm also looking forward to the competition now at B-back," he said. "I'm around 205-pounds now and I feel like I'm getting stronger every week using the program Tech sent me."

Marshall made the trip down to Atlanta for the spring game as well and despite the weather and injuries said that he could see bright things for the 2015 squad.

"I was there for the spring game and the weather wasn't great and there were a lot of starters out, but the team looked good and I got to talk to all the coaches and other signees so that was fun."

Marshall's Yellow Jacket adventure starts on June 16th and he found out on Monday who will be living with at Tech.

"I got the list of roommates today and I'll be living with Dorian Walker, Christian Campbell and Dante Wigley," he said. "I'm very excited about everything and can't wait to get started."

As a senior, Marshall ran for 2,198 yards and 30 touchdowns for Millbrook High School.
