since Chubb probably won't be back at the start

Where in the hell did you hear anything about this....or you just making a piece of shut assumption trying to sound clever?

Everything I've heard says they plan for him to be back and ready to play to start the season

It's just common sense. He had a complicated injury.

Anyone thinking any differently doesn't understand the game. Would love to see Chubb return for game one - would be extremely surprised to see it though.

Last I heard was the damage went as bad as they thought when they cut on him. That leaves the door open for next year as far as I can tell. With that said, I would think any plans for him t play next year would be hopeful.

All this Chubb talk is very optimistic

I have a feeling we won't see him in a UGA uniform again.

I think we will see him play for UGA again, I just think we need to be prepared for him to not be quite the same.

There is also no way he will be ready for game one next year. It is theoretically possible, but he hasn't even begun the real rehab yet. It is impossible to know at this point, but the chances are very small that he is ready that soon.

Maybe he will be like Gurley post ACL surgery.

Maybe. Even if he is, that means he won't be ready for the first game of the season.

This week one year ago is when Gurley injured his knee and he's been playing for a month now.

the injuries are not apples to apples. Chubb tore several ligaments, whereas Gurley only tore his ACL, iirc.
