You asked.

Kamara has someone to sue... ABC News.

Only if he can PROVE they didn't know it to be true. That would mean tracking down their source and getting the source to then testify that they told them this "rumor" and then also told them "but it's complete bullshite"....and ABC chose to run with it anyway. Wally Butts had someone to sue and it didn't work for this very reason. See my earlier post. If you took that much comm law at UGA, you'd be familiar with that case.

... if it's not true, that is...

Again, gotta prove they KNEW that.

And I'm talking about SUSPENSION not transfer.

Okay, I gotcha. Makes sense.

quote:

It's all this "team cancer" bullshite and his alleged behavior problems, that no one apparently heard anything about until he asked to transfer..

Fair enough. Apparently no one likes to lose a player or coach they consider to be decent, one way or the other.

One of their fans was finally able to provide me a link to an article that talks about him being suspended from before the transfer talk.... so I guess it's legit.

I had Lee. Was he the supposed "pervert"? I never got that idea about him. He was quite entertaining and definitely knew his stuff.

I thought I saw it in espn about his and another players suspension. That's why I mentioned the suspensions. The other part of the rumors are probably unsubstantiated but we are only hearing one side of the story.

Haha. You startin' rumors on here?

Seriously, though.....I don't know that part, but he's a very smart dude. My advisor told me he would be the better choice between he and Middleton prior to registering, so I went with him. One of my favorite classes, by far.

When he would walk around the room lecturing, you never noticed how he'd always stop around the prettiest girls in class and just stand there with his crotch 8 inches in front of her face for about a minute, then move to the next hot girl, stand there for another minute with his crotch 8 inches from her face, etc?

No, I can't say I ever noticed that. Maybe there were only ugly chicks in my class (on the front row at least).

He chose that path

Yep, wish he had picked Georgia. Had he done so he probably would have gotten some playing time last season with Marshall out for the season and Gurley hurt. Wouldn't be surprised to see him end up at FSU; they recruited him and he can't go to another SEC team per the terms of the release from his scholarship.

FWIW, and for the 487th time...I am glad we didn't get this kid. Don't care about the "team cancer" shite, whether its true or false.

What concerns me is he isn't a RB at this level. He needs to be split out wide or converted to DB.

He is too lanky to play RB at any level above HS. No leg drive and goes down on first contact most of the time. If he doesn't have space, he cant make it for himself.

If someone could convince him to move out wide or go to the other side of the ball...sure, Id like to have him. If he is insistent upon being a RB...frick em, let him end up at BK.

Why is he able to go to ANY D-1 school without waiting? I thought that was an NCAA thing, not just based on specific team conditions.

Interesting. Rivals has him listed at 5'10" 197lbs. That is a little lighter than I like to see in a RB. Also they have him at 4.55 speed in the 40; that's not what you would call break-away speed either. Scout says he has better hands that many WR. Maybe he should convert to WR. LINK

If he didn't finish his first academic year, he'd have to sit out. That's why he's till enrolled at Bama through this semester, as of last I heard. That's my understanding. I have nothing to base that on.

Hmmm...okay. I'm not really familiar with the rules on that, but it's certainly a possibility. I had always heard or been under the impression that once you signed your LOI, you were stuck there or going to a D-II with the intent of transferring. Never going directly from a D-1 to another D-1, regardless of conference affiliation.

Shows how much I know (or don't)!

The LOI is actually not a binding contract.

So Bama/Saban was wrong in their evaluation of the kid?
Along with Scout,Rivals etc?

Did Bama try to move em out wide or to defense?

Bottom line is that he chose to go to a place that had too many very good RB's ahead of em. Simple enough.

I also have no doubt in my mind that he woulda been the 3rd best RB on our campus the day he signed. He would've been a huge assett to us when TG and Marshall went down.

TIFWIW.....

quote:

Kamara felt like Bama lied to him during the recruiting process. Mainly about redshirting. He has been upset since then...

He was accused of talking bad about the program which has a lot to do with Lorenzo not really being interested in Bama (from the things Kamara was saying)...

Things got ugly when he was honest with some recruits that visited Bama and they committed elsewhere.

When the program found out, they didn't allow him to travel to the bowl game. His sister was in town and planned to use his tix allotment, but they would not give him any and told him he was done at Bama.
