This car was in front of me at the Checkers the other day. I know you can't see the details clearly (shitty phone pic) so I'll lay it out for you.

Bottom left corner - White Power G with Bulldogs underneath decal
Bottom center - traditional Power G decal
Bottom right - Wounded Warrior Project decal;
Bottom (by tag) - #88 racing magnet
Top center - white "Salt Life" decal
Gordon Co. tag (NW.GA)

My question is this: based strictly on this information... could you and this person be friends?

ETA - I'm just trying to determine what you would make of a Bulldogs fan who also likes the Salt Life shite. I didn't even know what the frick S.L. was when I saw it until I read up about it on here. Your distaste of it fascinates me.

TIA

I've seen the stickers on vehicles (trucks mostly), and am in the WTF? crowd when it comes to the Salt Life crap. I must have missed the thread where this was discussed.

Please explain the "Salt Life" thing to me. I've been wondering myself.

Obviously you just discovered one of USC's moles in the state of GA. We have been infiltrating the UGA fan base for years in hopes of causing unrest and division amongst the dawgs. This guy just blew his cover, with the Salt Life sticker.

Or am I making all this up, or am I saying that I'm making all this up to make Jefferson think we aren't really doing this, but we are? What a wicked web....

Originally a sticker on the back of cars used to denote a surfer, bodyboarder, or general beach bum whose life centered around the ocean or related beach going activities. Ever seen a 32 year old man whose primary activity was surfing and working on his tan? That person would have a salt life sticker.

Unfortunately the trend spread to senior citizens, wanna be hipsters, soccer moms, and other persons wishing to inform the world that yes, they too have visited the beach at some point in life and they have the sticker to prove it.
Dude: "Check out this wicked Salt Life sticker I just got for the back of my car!"

Me: "That's really lame dude. My Grandma has one of those on the back of her wheelchair and aren't you afraid of the ocean ever since you got raped by that dolphin?"

Dude: "I don't want to talk about it."

Salt lifers dont need your bigotry ruining their good time. There's a reason you aren't aware of them.

So awesome. I see the soccer mom types around Athens all the time with this sticker and kinda wondered where they found the time to be "Salt Lifers". There ya go. It was that Spring Break trip in 2002 before her boobs were saggin' and where she got knocked up for the first of several kiddos.

No, that's Atlantic Drift.
https://www.atlantic-drift.com/

They're all just clothing options and paying for labels. Although the fabric in the Atlantic Drift clothing is better than most.

Does anywhere outside of the South have so many different regional and hobby-specific clothing and car decals?

What do they have up North? Meatballs Inc? GTL Holdings, LLC?

LewDawg's description nails it perfectly.

Jefferson uses this as an indicator to summarily dismiss the supporter of said logo as a low class white trash variety of goon, generally associated with USCe homers as well. <cough> <cockinyourear> <cough>

This is probably the way I used to look at all the white trash frickers around Georgia and the south in general who suddenly became "damn proud to be one of them ol' rednecks" after Jeff Foxworthy said it was cool and made a shite ton of money making fun of the goons. When I grew up "redneck" was an insult.

But these hillbilly frickers I guess decided to spring from the closet with cans of Skoal and gold fishhooks and pick-em-up trucks and really trash it up for a while. Ugh, way to set white southern people, as a culture/race, back about 100 years there Billy Bob, while simultaneously cementing the general consensus opinion that yes, we are all a bunch of cousin frickin' idiots down here. We appreciate it.

Ah, but I digress.

Salt Life is usually used by salt water fishermen and those who like to pretend they are. Do not confuse them with surfers. Mostly a different breed altogether.

So basically it's a clothing line, right? Like if Polo made bumper stickers too or some shite? Yeah. No.
