Yep, I feel bad for him when he starts as a true freshman and doesn't deliver us a championship. It's going to be horrible on his self-esteem if he can't live up to the unrealistic expectations of a starving fanbase.

Oh look, another shitty poster that only shows up when we are losing and babbles about shite without any knowledge. Surprise, Surprise

Tell us what he said that was wrong. If you can't, then we will call you the clueless one.

Worst case scenario: Richt and Shotty stay. Eason gets uncomfortable with Richt's shaky situation and decides to dump UGA for Florida or Alabama. Pruitt meanwhile gets recruited to a head coaching position and takes a bunch of stellar defensive commitments.

I don't think this is too far fetched... and without a doubt, it is a worst case scenario. If the rumblings are true, you know Pruitt is gone for either a HC or DC elsewhere.

Bro I've been on your side of things for a ling time now. But how can you still be fine with what is going on in Athens? Richt has been here for too long to have seasons where the offense is THIS bad. It's time for a change for him and for us. If that cost us Eason well so be it. No one player is worth continuing to do the same thing over nd over and over and over when we know it isn't going to work.

Anyone who signs in the 2016 class is merely stocking the cupboard for the next guy. No way CMR rides out his contract.

My only problem, is its not just Eason. He is the linchpin. If hedonists somewhere else, we will lose almost the entire class. That's the problem. A horrible recruiting class, we put any new coach in a precarious spot. It will have a negative effect for years. I think UGA should keep CMR with the understanding that, a conference title and CFP appearance is madittory, before a new contract or extension will be discussed. And if that doesn't happen , it will not be re-newed.

Sadly I'm guilty as charged, at this point. I'll become rosy about the Dawgs' future when they put something on the field to be optimistic about.

First, I am a fan of both Richt and the school. It is funny how many on here loved our OL coach hiring - in fact, if I remember correctly, they said that we had an awesome group of coaches. Now they are all up in arms. Kind of goes hand in hand with how recruits turn out - everyone was sucking Ramsey and crew before they got here because of all their "stars." Now they turn on them like rats. It is hilarious that they think a coach is responsible for the ability of these players - or not judging them. Like Theus, some super stud 5* that was going to be all-world, and look at him.

They want to throw anyone and everyone under the bus. Richt can't throw or catch the ball. But then again...

You really are making an argument to never fire a coach for his team's poor performance. Amazing.

Your right he can't. And I don't blame him for in-completions or fumbles, or Nick Chubb's injury, or Bauta's four picks, or any intangible part of the game he cannot control.

What I blame Richt for is the fact that year after year after year UGA fails to show up and is embarrassed. Whether it's UT or USCe, or Bama or UCF or whoever. That is PURELY on him and is coaching related.

When was the last time BAMA was EMBARRASSED? Not beaten, but EMBARRASSED? In my opinion you have to go way back to '09 in the Sugar Bowl vs. Utah St and at 31-17 it wasn't a huge blow-out. Saban coached teams show up to play, week in and week out. I don't think you'd hear Saban in presser say that Auburn or LSU was "just another game" like we heard CMR refer to the UF game this past week.

Rest easy...

Tony Eason called Rusty & was pissed...

quote:

Tony Eason called me on Wednesday morning and he was not happy about it.

“Who the h$#** is Marc F&%*% and where did he get that Bull Sh$%$# story at?”

quote:

He went so far as to say that even if we hire a new staff Jacob is going to UGA unless we bring in the GT offense.

quote:

Look for UGA to hold Eason. He is flying directly from the Army game after to move to Athens. Once he gets to San Antonio he will basically be on his way to UGA.

quote:

He also said that Ben Cleveland called Jacob on Tuesday night and Big Ben told him “don’t make me fly up there. Enough of this Gator talk.”

That line just seems...fake somehow. Not that I don't believe you, but it just looks odd.
