- There appears to be some interest between Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn and Louisville defensive coordinator Todd Grantham. How much interest? Has there been official (a popular word these days) contact? Will there be official contact? We don’t know for sure

Wouldn't that be some shite considering how much they trolled us about him as our DC

Grantham has had good defenses at Louisville. Would likely be a good hire for Auburn.

Only if he brings JHC and Shaq with him.

A transition to 3-4 year plus 3 starters from our 2013 secondary? Dream come true for the SEC.

I would love so much for that to happen.

The guy knows Xs and Os football obviously, you can't be a coordinator in teh NFL if you're a total buffoon. But, as we've seen first hand, the one on one coaching/instruction/adjustments are just not there.

The only really good defense he had here was littered with NFL players.

He wasn't a great recruiter and his defenses struggled with mobile QBs pretty bad. I don't hate him as much as some but he was not very good overall.

Would be a brutally horrible fit for Auburn's personnel and mentality, so sounds good to me.

Grantham always had us stout against the run (except for SECCG ) but his pass defenses (especially 3rd down) have been downright awful everywhere he's been. He should really head back to the NFL where players have more time to practice and learn his world thesaurus collection sized playbook.

And you think our defensive players were confused by his scheme. Wait until that bunch of idiots try to understand it.

His defenses were normally only good for one half. Held LSU in first half of 2011 SECCG, 2nd half was ugly. Stayed around with Mizzou in 12 and then Jarvis took over in the 4th. Hung around with Bama in 1st half of SECCG 12 and then they ran all over us in the 2nd half. He held his D ok the 1st half of last year's bowl and then Chubb ran down their throats like a porn star. He needs to figure that the game is 60 minutes. He would be a great fit at the Barn !

He'd fit right in. And after the fire Malzahn next season they could bring in his current boss, Petrino. (I can just see that Harley rounding Toomer's Corner now!)

2013 - Charlie Strong - #1 total D #2 Scoring D

2014 - Grantham - #6 total D #24 Scoring D

2015 - Grantham - #13 total defense #48 Scoring D

Not by his own accord, they have gotten worse every year he's been there.

Ya last year was a fluke with some one else's players. Grantham is a poor recruiter and mediocre DC hire.

With that said, hope AU hires him lol

2012 UGA defense was the worst in school history vs the run. Gave up almost 200 yards to BUFFALO,not to mention
300 yards to GSU amd GT. And had 8 NFL draft picks.

Yes,excellent hire for Auburn!

There has NEVER been a year that TG hasn't leveraged interest from another program to get a raise.
