Texas was pretty bad, last year. (7 losses)

Lost by 3 at home vs Duke (ouch)

Duke was really, really bad, too.(8Losses)

Lost by 7 at NCST in a hurricane

Bad team. (6 Losses)

Lost by 7 at home vs Stanford

Pretty good team, but not as good as the past teams.

Lost by 3 at home vs VT (almost beat Clemson in ACCCG)

Tennessee beat them 45-24, but they were ok.

Lost by 18 at USC (won Rose Bowl)

USC turned out to be pretty good, once they got untracked...but they lost by 18?

Sure, they COULD have won 10 games, but they got beat by some pretty bad teams....albeit by fairly close scores.

I just have to disagree with you. Notre Dame was pretty bad and will probably be worse...at least early in the season.

Tennessee and Notre Dame will probably be a lot better than most people think.

Just because they were mediocre to bad last year doesn't mean they won't be much improved.

I'm sure Notre Dame is very hungry and their coach is desperate to save his job.

The good news is the mystery of how good Kirby Smart is will be unveiled against ND. Because we should be much improved as well.

No more first year coach excuses, no more first year QB excuses, a stacked defense, all our stars returning for senior seasons, stud oline coming.

If the Offense progresses as it should with any competent coaching staff, then UGA should beat ND, and handily.

Both lost a lot of talent. Obviously any time you go on the road it is tough. But neither has shown an ability to live up to their hype.

It will tell us some things. I will be disappointed if we dn't win by 14....however, it will be early in the season, and a win is a win. ND is a legitimate opponent, so they will be a good test...but they aren't real good.

I'll settle for average.
