This is one of those rare seasons where playoff contention shouldn't be able to be used as justification for keeping a coach.

He's pretty fired BUT to tell ya truth I don't think he's done that bad
of a job this year.Yes, I'm well aware of his clock mgt issues vs Det and
Cleveland (I have no idea WTF the Browns HC was doing at the end of
the 1st half either)

The Falcons O-line injuries along with lack of personnel on defense
plus injuries (Spoon and Moore) have put em in severe mismatches
all season long with the exception of TB and Carolina.

But I do have a big problem with their 2nd half screw ups and lack of
halftime adjustments

Is it bad that i hope they lose all remaining games to move up in the draft?

Clock management continues to be a joke. Won games are needlessly turning into lost games.

I wouldn't be surprised if he is fired today but more than likely he will remain in position until we are eliminated from the division race and then he will be fired immediately

IYAM they should fire Dimitroff no matter what. He is the problem as is his scouting dept. THEN once you hire a new GM you let him decide. More likely than not Smitty would be done too but I think that's the way you go about it. Give Ford some time to pull their Smitty commercials and replace them with the extra Richt commercials. You owe Ford that much.

Yea, Ken doll wannabee and Nolen need to go. Give Smith & Co. an O line and revamp the D. Smitty hasn't forgotten how to coach. But I think Blank's patience has worn thin and that he'll clean house. He's too old and has too much money for patience to be a factor.

Don't get this at all. est owner in Atlanta
sports granted not saying much)but also has
invested millions in this team.

Should probably fire TD but in no way do I think
the Falcon's need new ownership

he can stay an owner, but he needs to keep his arse off the field..I don'tknow if it was Mike Smith who wanted to tear down the team that made it to the conference championship game, but somebody did and somebody has always thought it was a good idea to draft offense only and look at this team on defense now. I'm pretty sure Coach Smith would want a sound OL and a stout defense if he were in charge.

I don't like Blanks because he's a crybaby who wants the taxpayers to finance his new stadium, etc. He always acts in public like he's got it together, but his financial decisions show differently. slimeball imo..

TD definitely needs to go.

Besides Ryan, Jones, Trufant, and eventually Matthews, can anybody name one player that TD has drafted that is better than average?

Maybe Devonte Freeman? Maybe Spoon? Maybe Willie Mo? Maybe Ishmal?

So that's five 1st round picks, one 2nd rounder, one 3rd rounder, and one 5th rounder, that have panned out. And Willie Mo and Spoon can't stay healthy, and Freeman isn't hardly being used because our HC and OC are idiots.

So 8 picks out of like 65, and five of those are 1st rounders who are SUPPOSED to be good.

Peters is average, Alford is average, Hawley is average, Massaquoi is average, Hageman hasn't done shite, nor has Shembo or Southward, Quizz is slow as hell, Konz sucks, Holmes sucks, Baker sucks, Biermann sucks, Cliff Matthews, Goodman, Maponga, and Robertson haven't done shite.

We completely lucked out with Worrilow who was a UDFA. And Bartu is ok, but nothing special. He wouldn't start on many teams. So other than Worrilow, TD has found no other hidden gems.

And also, nearly every FA signing he's done, besides Mike Turner, Tony Gonzales and maybe Mike Peterson, has been total shite. Asante Samuel was decent for one year. Dunta Robinson and Ray Edwards were freaking massive blunders. Letting go of DeAngelo Hall, Dominique Foxworth, Keith Brooking, Lawyer Milloy,Harvey Dahl, Curtis Lofton, John Abraham, and Brent Grimes were massive blunders. And it's turning out that Umenyiora and Steven Jackson are complete busts of FA signings too.

TD simply has a shite nose for evaluating talent. And he and Mike Smith combined suck at hiring coaches. Dirk Keotter is beyond horrible.

The beef with Blank is simple.

Smith should have been fired at the end of last year, if not before.

I can only assume he wasn't because TD said to keep him. So now they both gots to go. Blank won't do it and that's a problem.
