Damn, that's full on sprinting. I'm not a sports medicine physician but I am liking his chances of being ready for UNC.

Can we just have our stud healthy for a year? The fact that we were so mercilessly robbed of gurley and then Chubb pisses me off more than anything else in sports

Still a long way to go. Needs to be able to cut with cleats on grass and turf and needs to be able to get hit and keep on going

Three straight heisman campaigns screwed because of knee injuries is some of the worst luck in all of Cfb history. We deserve so much good fortune and soon.

I have no doubt gurley would have won in 14 had he played the full season.

13 is easy to give to the QB of the undefeated national champ (we had 5 losses) and last year chubb was rolling along smooth but henry was excellent as well. I'm not convinced mariota would beat out gurley in 14.

Most sports pundits had the same opinion. Gurley was always the best player on the field and the nation. I work with a lot of displaced Oregonians and they agree that Mariota was the second best player in the nation 2 years ago.

It also helped Gurley that he absolutely tore out of the gates early.

Night game, ESPN, prime time opener against clemson and he went off for 4 total touchdowns and like 200 yards rushing.

just looked up his stats before he was sidelined in 14. In 5 games:

94 carries for 773 yards
8.2 YPC
155 YPG
8 rushing TDs

3 KOR
49 YPR
1 TD

ETA:
For comparison, here is DH's numbers through his first 5 games of this season where he won the heisman:

93 carries for 570 yards
6.1 YPC
114 YPG
9 TDs

I know it's a different injury, but I believe Gurley was running better than this and earlier after his injury.....and he still missed the first three games of the next season right?

That's another concern right there. The Rams were very cautious because they were protecting a multi-million dollar investment. WIll the fact that UGA only has him for one more season tempt them to let him play again before he's ready?

I would like to think not, but who knows.

Are you talking about the injury Todd had against Auburn in 14? I didn't dig very deep but I found this from April of 15, so right about 5 months after the injury (even has the same funky shaped treadmill!)

LINK

That was Todd straight line after 5 months, Chubb's running is 4 months (granted, Idk when gurley started running like that prior to that link above). With that said, yes the rams did hold him out until the first few games.

So I guess I say all that to say I don't have a friggin clue when chubb will be back to 100%.

I hope Chubb is back as soon as possible but I rest easy at night knowing we have Sony. That dude balled out last year taking on a huge load with a minimal passing game and inconsistent OL.

Murray would have been in New York if gurley and the wr's are healthy all year in 2013. Same with Gurley in 2014 and chubb in 2015.

UGA fans and Chubb's teammates are gonna go completely nuts when Nick scores again. It would be a great time for the whole team to rush the field to celebrate.
