According to an announcement by J. Reid Parker Director of Athletics Greg McGarity, Georgia will play UCLA in a home and home series starting with the 2025 season. That first matchup in 2025 will take place on August 30 in Pasadena, Calif. at the Rose Bowl

I'll beleive it when I see it. How long until WG Dawg denounces this match up?

100% chance it gets cancelled
I give him 25 min

Some of the men that will play in that first game are currently seven years old.

Hell, I'll probably be pushing up daisies by then...

I'm in a mtng so can't say much but I'm not totally against it. I would prefer us not do these kinds of games at all, but if we HAVE to, I don't mind this one.

Did he win though, since I didn't "denounce" the matchup?

This was supposed to happen in the early 80's but UCLA couldn't put together a big enough gate guarantee for us to go out there...so we only did the home game in '83.

In '25 players will stand on the field and a panel will democratically select a winner after running a series of advanced simulations. The crowd will activate an applause app at the end. Richt will look like gandalf at that point

Bets on whether Richt is the coach then? No f-ing way says I.

Or every player will be in a padded cell with electrodes and what we will see will look like Madden football except the actual player speed and movements will be on the screen.
Pruitt will be looking for his second national championship as head coach, following two by Richt.
And we will barely win because it is stupid to travel three times zones to play a game that hurts if you lose much more than it helps if you win. (unless we can just use the padded cells in Athens, no travel needed)

We better start extended scholarships to them now.

God,let just hope FB has not been snubbed out by the nanny state by then or sued out of existence.

I'm noticing a trend with these OOC schedulings: either neutral in ATL or we play someone with an old, historic stadium.

Yes. Thanks for playing.

FWIW, Jake Rowe over in the 247 thread seems to think this series is more likely to happen than the Oregon and Ohio State series.

Very good IMO. Unlike the Oregon and OSU series, this one, according to what McGarity told us in Charlotte, will be contracted. Meaning, it won't be something that will be easily backed out of.
