I agree. UGA fans need to come to realize that we are NOT an elite program... we are very average. Stop with expecting titles because it ain't happened in 30 years and it ain't gonna happen in the foreseeable future.

I didn't claim squat that I can remember. If I did I must have been on the sauce, because I never believed that. I never believed we would beat Florida, even when we had a better team. I'm not convinced we'll beat Tech, but I'm hoping.
However, don't try to pump sunshine up my butt over this crappy performance. 21 points and 500 yards against a Sunbelt team is nothing to smile about. I'm happy for the win and in a few hours I won't even be thinking about this game.

It may be garbage time but I think a lot of us wanted to see us blow someone out for a change.

We suck shite. And we were up 35-7 with 10 minutes left, it's not like we were sweating it out for 4 quarters.
We're not capable of blowing out many people right now. And yes, I think the coaching staff is partly to blame for that, but there's no sense pulling out the flame throwers now. Should have gotten that out of your systems after the Vandy and Florida games.

I'm glad the backups got in. The team needed that.
I don't like all of the third down conversions earlier in the game. But the turnovers and 4th down failures of the cajuns made up for that.

I don't think anyone is pulling out the flamethrowers. I'm simply disappointed in that performance. It's not a good one, and I expected one coming off of that great Auburn performance.

Georgia controlled the game from start to finish and ULL never had a chance. They racked up some late garbage time points and yards. The backups got most of the 4th quarter today. It wasn't some 55-0 blowout, but it's not like we played the Nicholls State game again.

We were ahead 35-7 in the 4th quarter and played our backups for the first time all season.
This team now has 7 wins with a chance for 8 or 9 including wins over Auburn and Tech.
Not bad for a first year HC that almost lost to Nichols St and DID lose to Vandy.

Do I expect this program to be better than 7-4? Do I expect this program to be better than a 21 point, 500 yard effort from ULL? Do I expect this program to compete with the other top programs, considering all that it has? Absolutely! I knew we would go through some growing pains this year and I didn't expect to win an SEC title, but I expected better than that. I was actually feeling good after the Auburn win. Now I'm thinking Auburn just sucked.

I hope everyone enjoyed that victory because there's a pretty good chance it was our last one this year, unless we draw a horrible bowl opponent. As for next weekend, it looks like Mark Richt is about to lose to Georgia tech for the third time in 16 years.

It should be though. There's no reason not to. Flagship program in one of the most loaded recruiting states in the country and the only in state competition is GT. New facilities coming, great fan base, etc....

If you can't handle anything but sunshine and roses, perhaps you need to go do something else. I didn't pull out any flamethrowers. I simply vented about poor play, and you obviously can't handle it. That's a reason I left Dawg Chat, plus it's become a political board.

Or some of us just temper our expectations and don't allow ourselves to be emotionally invested in a football team.
I didn't expect us to win big today and that was how it turned out. Was it perfect? Obviously not. I don't like that the defense gave up a lot of yards, but in the end it doesn't fricking matter because we won the game and it was never really close.
It isn't going to be like this forever. Eason is going to get better, as is the offensive line and the offense in general. The "big wins" (margin of victory against bad teams) are going to come eventually.

I agree with all this. We win this game today 35-7 or by more if we keep first team era in. Also, we could easily be sitting at 9 wins right now (TN & Vandy).
