After months of speculation, Philadelphia traded Boykin to the Pittsburgh Steelers in exchange for a conditional fifth-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, the Steelers announced on Saturday night. Tim McManus of Birds 247 reports it could become a fourth-round selection based on how much he plays in Pittsburgh. The Eagles reportedly shopped the three-year veteran earlier this offseason.
Boykin, 25, was no lock to make the Eagles' final roster. He is small for an NFL corner (5-9, 183 pounds), which made coach Chip Kelly reluctant to play him. Last fall, he was the team's top slot cornerback and closed with an interception, nine passes defended, a forced fumble and 41 tackles. That came after a breakout season in 2013 when he had six interceptions, 17 passes defended, two forced fumbles and 47 tackles.

A lot of Eagles fans I'd seen over the past couple of years, online at least, thought Boykin was one their two best corners. He'll apparently be in contention for a starting spot in Pittsburg.

I'm happy he will get a better opportunity by leaving because he certainly deserves it but man, I hate the steelers.

That is a good pick up with the Steelers. Wish the Falcons could have picked him up.

I hope Chip Kelly and the Eagles fall flat on their faces! The Falcons need to destroy the Eagles first game of the season

Starting to think Kelly is going to burn out big time in the NFL here pretty soon. McCoy and Boykin are both pretty good NFL players. I think Boykin graded out as a top 3 slot corner in the NFL a couple seasons back.

I saw a lot of Eagle fans saying he was too short and not going to get much PT because of some player they drafted. I don't keep up with the Eagles but I have a neighbor who is an obnoxious a Eagle fan so I would love to see them suck
