Anyone else think Fromm could get a serious look next year? Obvious answer is that he redshirts, but if Eason doesn't get a ton more consistent.....

BTW, how's Fromm been doing the last few weeks? Haven't seen much since about 3 weeks ago.

Eason looks awesome for a true frosh playing at college footballs highest level... only an idiot would think different.

One is in HS.

One is a true freshman in the SEC.

But nah, this is totally an apples to apples comparison.

I doubt Fromm gets much of a look next year. He will be a true freshman, and i would be surprised if he could be any more consistent than Eason has been. Eason will be more polished next year and should be lights out by his Junior year.

Awesome? No way, not even close. But yes, he is a true freshman and will likely improve significantly going forward and there isn't any need to melt like some people around here.

Give him time, but I am concerned with our coaching staff's ability to develop a quarterback. I say that based on coaching background, not just this season's results. I think he has potential to be pretty good, I just hope we can develop him and provide him with receivers.

I just want us to recruit dual-threat QB's. Hell, even Alabama has done this with Jalen Hurts and it has completely transformed their offense. Two dual threat QB's from the state of Georgia are having great success, Dobbs at Tennessee and Clemson's Deshaun Watson.

I guess the good news is Eason not being lights out will help in recruiting Fromm.

Fromm

Fromm will do what Eason should've been able to do this year. Hold a clipboard and work on his technique & the playbook his freshman year. I'd love to see him redshirt but don't know if you can talk a kid into that anymore.

I agree, not awesome. But he's clearly got some big fricking balls with 2 "game winning" drives/throws.

I like what I've seen. You'd want him to be more consistent but he's already made some big time throws which is huge at this point in his career.

Matthew Stafford at USCe, 2006 (FR year):

8/19, 171 yards, 0 TD, 3 INT

Bad games happen. We won, Eason will be fine.

Let me clarify that I am by no means in the "Eason isn't the answer" camp. I think he most definitely is, and while he has shown flashes of awesomeness he has a long way to go in the consistency department (did you see how many of his bad throws on Sunday weren't even spirals?) I think the future is very very bright with Eason at the helm for the next few years.

No brainer! Fromm threw for 300 more yards than Eason this week... and 3 more TDs!! If he was our QB on Saturday, we probably would have won 56-0. I think Fromm should sit the rest of his Senior season too to prevent injury. Anyone else think Eason might be looking to transfer to Valdosta St after this before going to Auburn??

He's a true freshman that played on the road in weird conditions. Calm down and be smarter.

Depends on how Eason looks the rest of the season but yea, if he doesn't show marked improvement I would think it might attract other top QB's not afraid of QB competition.

I do like Eason. He's a big strong QB and actually has potential to pick up yards with his feet with good blocking. Heck, yesterday he had a wide open field in front of him on a couple of plays rolling left and just kept going to the sideline until he either took a lost or had the throw the ball away. I prefer a QB who will pick up those rushing yards when the opportunity is available. This keeps the defense in a guessing game in terms of pass coverage vs coming up to protect against the run which definitely helps get your receivers open.
