It's his second game as head coach, so how about you shut the frick up, quit your bitching and fricking wait a couple goddamn seasons. Not even Saban could get a decent record in his first year, there will be some problems this season

If you come out flat, turn the ball over, and play like shite you can get beat by anyone. This has been proven time and time again.

Why don't you fire yourself from this board in protest.

Come on OP, we beat a good UNC team in Kirby's first game. Game 2 vs an FCS was just a letdown game. Like after exams are over and your stressed body & mind relaxes and-surprise-you get sick.

Let's see how the team learns from game2 and rebounds vs Mizzou before demanding we fire a HC after 2 games. Hell, there shouldn't be any talk like that until the end of the season when Kirby's entire first year can be evaluated and discussed intelligently.

I don't really give a rat's behind what Smart does this year. I sat in a driving rain and watched Alabama totally dismantle a Richt GA team for the SECOND time in Sanford Stadium and I knew it was time for a change. I'm also tired of all the Richt love. Where exactly did he take us. Alabama, LSU, Florida and Auburn for Christ's sake have won Championships since Richt came to GA. Nothing ventured nothing gained. If Smart turns out to be a bust, hey we start over again.

Richt gave us more than many programs can boast and he got UGA back on the national stage. He's a good man and a good coach and I can acknowledge and appreciate his contributions to the team.

That said, I can also acknowledge that he had peaked and left too many good cards on the table too often and it was time to let someone else have the seat.

I still like CMR and am glad he was our coach. I'm also glad that CKS is our coach now and looking forward to seeing where he takes us.

Firing Kirby is just a wee bit drastic but I saw glimpses of what made our team stink last year in our effort against Nicholls. We played in-inspired football and we made a lot of mistakes. Heck, even Chubb fumbled the ball. Not to mention McKenzies Gaffs and Chigbu (or whatever his name is) drops. We say a total lack of concentration on both sides of the ball. Even worse... It did not seem that our coaching staff understood how to get us out of the funk.

I am not even close to throwing in the towel on Kirby or this team but I have concerns. Let's see where we are at the end of the season. I expect 2 or 3 losses. Don't think we beat UF or UT. We struggle against Mizz... Maybe pull out a win.

I don't think you can necessarily evaluate Kirby properly until he's playing with a full complement of his own players. All bets are off, otherwise. That said, he still has to show adjustments game-to-game, and half-to-half.

Nicholls State is a team that teams we play to get a rent a win play to get a rent a win. It's like getting whipped by a midget that gets whipped regularly by midgets.

Does someone smell smoke?

If, so, maybe go and check and make sure the Butts Mehre isn't on fire....

Yep, at least give the guy until the end of 2018.

Mahlzan won the SEC and played for a NC his 1st year and McElwain went to the SECC in his 1st and will probably go back in his 2nd.CMR also won the SEC in his 2nd year.

This isn't a UT/Butch Jones complete rebuild situation.
We've had 3 straight top 10 recruiting classes and KS also inherited a Heisman trophy candidate and potentially 3 other 1st round picks for the '17 draft. Dawgs in '17 draft

Yes,I do expect to us to contend for the SECe this year and we should.

I understand what you are saying, RD. And, to a point, I agree. However, just because a coach inherits a talented team, doesn't mean the players match his style of play. I'll give him until the end of 2018. I would expect a 10 win season, though, counting the bowl game this year. Everybody and their brother was saying a mediocre coach could do that in the East with UGA's talent when they were belittling Richt's 9.7 win average.

I do expect a little bit of a downturn in '17 but by '18 this roster should be loaded on both sides of the ball.

Nichols state was ranked 240th in the nation. Ther are teams that just started football programs rated higher than them. The point spread was 55... 55
