Your undue fanaticism for the prior regime has been duly noted, comrade. Perhaps you should consider following it to Miami.

Initial impression: Kirby Smart is a lot like Tommy Tuberville

I didn't see Kirby hitting anyone.

Or perhaps the team is better than expected and played higher than their skill levels due to having nothing to lose while we came out flat in an early game with nothing to gain and got out-willed on the LOS. It happens every year to someone and now Kirby has it out of the way.

While it was an embarrassing effort, we still won the game. Let's focus on next week and see what adjustments our first year head coach makes.

Could be a piece of humble pie that the players needed after winning a big game opening week. Time will tell.

Miami needs some fans to fill those seats out.

Richt needed to go.
And if you were expecting smart to lead us to the promised land in year 1, then your a pretty unrealistic fan.

Richt went 8-4 his first year.

Colorado beat them 44 - 7 in their opener.

Hopefully, the trend downward continues for CSU so Bobo can return as OC.

At least UAB was Division I-A (or FBS as they call it now) at that time. Nicholls Fricking State is FCS, where they've won 9 games in the last 5 years. In other words, UGA traded blows with one of the very worst programs in the FCS and they held their own. Thank goodness their quarterback was a freshman in his first start on the road, or we'd have our worst loss in modern history in Kirby

Nicholls St. is building a solid football program with Rebowe. They're not the same team they were in previous years and their record will show it as their season progresses. They have a very good staff and are recruiting players from throughout the state of LA who couldn't get into other schools academically. They have several linemen from The MS Community College featured in Last Chance U.

Having said all of that, we still should have blown them off the field. But we were complacent, flat-footed, and sloppy, and they were playing the game of their lives. Our guys had nothing to win and Nicholls had nothing to lose. It happens every year with the best of teams.

We're not a championship caliber team right now. We're a collection of very good talent, coached by a very good staff, IMHO. We'll find out next week how good.

It's embarrassing that Georgia "fans" would stoop to even write what some of you have written. It's obvious that the talent level that Richt played with and left behind is not up to par with the likes of Ala, OSU, etc and Kirby IS going to change that.

He left top 10 recruiting classes. Should be more than enough to whip Christie McNicholls State...

The 2013 class was a total whiff. We are really missing that junior/senior leadership and it really showed Saturday. This was going to be a transition year no matter who was in charge.

A top tier SEC program with consistent top 10 recruiting classes and a Hiesman RB can't destroy a chef school because there aren't enough senior leaders? Negro please...

Games we came out flat and played like crap against opponents we were far superior than in the Mark Richt era. You want this back?

2015 - Georgia Southern 23-17 scraped by in OT
2013 - North Texas 45-21 however it was tied in the 3rd
2012 - Buffalo 45-23 one score game at the half
2010 - Colorado 27-29 loss. Colorado won 5 games that year
2007 - Troy 44-34 one score game in the 4th
2006 - Colorado 14-13. Colorado won 2 games that year
2003 - Marshall 13-3

I don't want CMR back but all those teams listed would have housed Nicholls

We damn near lost to a chef school whose biggest win last year was in front of 7000 people against Lamar...despite his limp wristed throwing technique. They won that one by 2... Think about it, we beat them by the same margin as they beat a gay black dude.

Colorado beat them 47-0 as did ULM...

They only won 3 games...

We looked like a special Olympics team on acid and I apologize to mentally challenged folks for the comparison.

I have a friend who works at a psych hospital. She is showing that game to heroin junkies with HIV, so they can see that they haven't hit rock bottom yet...

Fire that motherfricker.
