F me that's way too high.

I think our defense is going to be pretty solid yet again, our OL, WR, and RB should all be either great or bordering on great.

But our QB situation is downright scary. REally really scary. There's no guarantee Ramsey will even get the job at this point. We're going into the season with a brand new QB that (whoever it may be) hasn't really proven a damn thing yet. We should be around 15 IMO.

And USC at #4 and GT at #18

Surprised Schlabach had Bama all the way down at 10. I'm assuming they lose a lot, but not really sure (obviously Yeldon, Cooper and Sims are gone).

So, basically 2014 all over again except this time we're expecting to having a pretty good defense?

I agree. Schlabach, of all writers, should know better. I think he's becoming a disney. It seems after his article about the fans dismay at the Athletic Department's paltry support he saw Georgia give Pruitt a raise and get Schotty (yet to be determined how good he'll be) that Mark has bought in on Georgia

I am terrified of our 2015 QB situation. Sure, our QBs will be more talented than Mason, they have to, but god knows they'll turn it over a shitload more.

and a worse QB.

What we field at QB in 2015 won't be nearly as good as what we did in 2014 for at least 2 months, if at all.

I think Ramsey will be fine once he gets reps with the first team and gets more game speed experience.

I think the QB will provide far more of an upside. Just way more of a downside. It's like our threads earlier about replacing Mason. The ceiling was lower but the basement was too.

yeah and this is part of the problem. Our rivals always talk shite about how overrated we are and how we're "preseason national champs" and all that bullshite....but I mean it's not us that make the rankings. Having us at 8 is just setting us up for a fall. Dang it schlabach.

That's a little premature. It's just hard to know.

Choosing my words carefully here- I don't know if it was athletic ability, confidence, or coaching/ play calling- but we will not regress at the QB position.

In the spirit of my true Disney roots, I'm starting to come around to that perspective, Peter.

I like that we open with ULM, then Vandy.

Ramsey, or whoever is the guy, can get some solid experience, then just play decent at home vs. South Carolina and maybe we can pull that one out.

More experience vs. an easy Southern team, then comes the huge Bama showdown.

Hopefully, and this is probably not giving South Carolina nearly enough credit, opening with those four games could bring our QB up to a decent enough level to be ready for the tougher second half of our schedule.
