How do you fellas think he'll do with Fromm coming in next year?

I think it'll drive him to improve

The fourth quarter play calling is QB-friendly. I wish we would mix it up and attack the whole field early in games.

i was thinking the same damn thing, he's just parroting Jesse. glad you called him out.

Why don't you footnote this. You say this like it's your own. It's all Jesse Palmer talked about tonight. Thanks for the news flash.

I don't think so.
I think it's simply that he is adjusting to the new speed/vision of the game at the next level. Typical freshman hot and cold as he adjusts, call it 'flashes of greatness with intermingled mistakes and misreads.'
We all knew it would happen to a true FR. Let's face it, with our Oline play he's literally been thrown to the wolves. Eason will be fine.

He's looking more comfortable each game. He still has a lot of room for improvement on his accuracy and his touch but yea, he and Michel were clutch on that last drive.

Eason still is not accurate with throws. He hit Bauta on an anticipation pass late in the game. That was a new experience for him. He tends to wait for the receiver to get open before he throws. The defense at the college level is too quick for that.
He's a true freshman. I'm not that concerned with errant throws right now. Timing will come. I'm very impressed with his poise when the game is on the line. You can't coach that. Either you got it or you ain't. He's got it and I can't wait to see the QB that he'll become with experience.

Better than Fromm.

That's arm strength right there. Threw the ball all the way from Lexington to Fort Collins!

If im not mistaken he has worked with him already, I feel like sometimes he forgets his mechanics and relys on his arm strength. He seems to like throwing of that back foot alot. I would love for him to work with Aaron Murray in the off season. AM was a stickler for throwing mechanics, Im sure he would do it for free.

The 10 yard cushion on the corners creates the separation, and allows for all of those open underneath throws.
He's getting better. But there is a reason that the excitement is coming in the 4th quarter.

It puts him in the shot gun with a single back (spreads the field). This is what he did in high school. It might not be qb friendly (different running game) but it is Eason friendly since it is what he knows.
This and the 10 yard cushions from the defense (and the spread field telegraphing blitzes) makes him much more successful as a freshman.
He came to UGA to learn how to play the QB position (including a heavy dose under center). All formations are being used. I wouldn't mind more spread/shotgun formations during the game. But keep in mind that it is harder to run the football (without an option qb) and the defense won't just give him the 10 yard cushion for no reason.
