So with the way that our offense has been performing if we finish the season still #1 in total offense in the SEC and average around 40 points a game (possible with our schedule) do y'all think other schools will try to hire Bobo away?

I was never really a Bobo fan but our offense has been lights out this season. I don't know if it's a product of our players or if the light bulb finally clicked in Bobo's head. I do like how extremely balanced our offense has been thus far though and I have to give Bobo credit for that. Thoughts?

From watching the games he's putting the offense in plays and reads that allows them to succeed. A lot of that is because Murray reads the defense like a book and almost always checks in to the right plays. Moving to 5 wide and getting Michael Bennett on a linebacker 3 times on Saturday was a thing of beauty.

Without Gurshall our offense wouldn't work...

We are lucky to have those two kids. With the ability for them to get first downs almost every play helps the passing game. If we can mix the plays well enough (not calling 3 running plays in a row deep in our own territory ((Like we did against UT))) we can beat anyone. It's going to come down to our O-Line play against USCe, UF, and Bama/LSU.

If we don't win this year, it won't happen under Richt.

Mike Bobo has been outstanding for the most part this year. Funny what a legit running game can do for your play calling, ain't it?

So......... Which of you miserable naysaying hate-mongers wants to be the first to man up and apologize for their vicious Bobo hatred???

The floor is yours.........

Sandwich? Anyone?........

Hey 20oz I agree with your assessment of our running attack. Teams that fear the run open up passing opportunities. That being said the above quote is the same thing I heard after the 2007 season entering 2008. Yet, here we stand.

I will say that we are the only thing standing in our way this year. Talent is good enough, coaching finally appears good enough, and even Bama and LSU don't look unbeatable. Hell, UK hung around with Scar for a while. Dare I say the OL even looks good enough. Maybe I'm just hung over from the orange Kool-aid?

Why should anyone apologize? We SHOULD have had a legit running game many years before now. After Knowshon left it took 4 freaking years before he pulled in a good(set of) RB that could legitimately compete week in and week out. That does fall on bobo.

How so? He the only one recruiting/evaluating players on the team? Is he the RB coach?

Having all the pieces fall into place once every 5 years does not an OC make. Hell...when your backs can turn a shotgun draw into a 75 yd td that helps alot. Taking your foot off the gas with 9 mins in the 4th was almost suicidal.

However..you can't argue with the production to date. This weekend will be a true indicator as to what this team has.

No need bitching while we're 5-0.

that's not how recruiting works at UGA

Bobo is responsible for recriuting North Carolina and maybe parts of South Sarolina..

where were those RB's from?

To be fair we did have some pretty manageable backs in King and Ealey and a stud freshmen last year. He can't go to class for them and drive them around town. Plus Stacey Searels was the most overrated coach in recent memory and ensured we under performed whenever possible. Richt didn't pull the plug early enough on those guys i.e. Willie and Eason

Bobo hasn't done a GD thing yet. He was up to his old tricks once that game got close on Saturday. That man is incapable of playing with a lead. Let's put up 40 against Carolina and Florida and then we'll talk.

Right.......

Five games in a row scoring more than 40 points is nothing.

Got it.

The argument could be made that Bobo was able to mold the offense to effectively use both those backs and to allow Gurley and Marshall to have a smooth transition picking up the playbook. After all it's rare to have 2 true freshman on the same team have that kind of production.

Bobo is a good recruiter and is known for developing QBs. The jury is obviously still out on his playcalling abilities but if he keeps our offense going for the duration of the season I can see schools like Kentucky taking a chance on him.

What do you want him to do in that situation?

Lets pray some team is stupid enought to hire booboo as their head coach. Hershel made dooley look better than the 5 and 6 year he had before hershel showed up. Yeah run a dive and the back is not touched for a 75 yard touchdown. Did you see any of those working in the 4th quarter when the game was on the line. Actually we threw a number of passes which netted nothing. The run game did not work either. Our offense in the 4th quarter consisted of four 3 and outs. We averaged around 1 minute and 30 seconds for each drive.

Against absolutely nobody with a pulse on defense and we were gifted offensive touchdowns in the Mizzou game.

Who has South Carolina played this year? And how many points have they been putting up?

And most on here appear scared shitless of them.......

Perspective: Not sure if Bobo actually pays attention to what us idiots say.....but if he does, he has a great opportunity for redemption this weekend.
