No, not Auburn. I'll be an LSU fan.

This fricking place.

I mean, 2005 was just an awful example

LSU is a football program with a national championship. They know how to get things done. They are a real football team with a fine tradition.

UGA is just a shite show of losers and squandered talent. Squandered money and just a waste of fricking time. Don't even get me started on basketball or baseball. I don't even.

Well we certainly see in this thread who are Dawg fans and who are Richt fans. The difference has never been more pronounced.

Malzahn recruited players for his offense up to 2011. When he left Chizik tried to run a pro-style offense with those players and it didn't work. He also didn't have a QB worth a damn so they went 3-9. Malzahn comes back with all the talent he recruited for his offense already in place and you know the rest.
OK, well what about 2011 (year after their MNC)? Same HC. Same OC. Same offensive scheme. 3rd year of recruits for the system. 8-5 (4-4) record. What was the difference here? Was it Chizik who sucked it up? Was it Malzahn and his offense/recruits? Or, was it that they were lacking Cam Newton?

Richt and the whole administration have their heads up their asses and they have shamed the Bulldawg football tradition. Anything less than all out war amounts to acquiescence.

Until Richt AND the administration is fired, and we get competent people in place who will keep top recruits in state, build an indoor practice facility, and win the National Championship AT LEAST every other year, get the basketball team into the Sweet 16, then the Hartman Fund can suck my Tiger Dick.

No UGA fan can truthfully say we manage our coaches as well as Aubarn.

Go all back to Barfield--after they fired him and hired Dye they have had good coaches. They fire em as soon as they show signs of burning out. Fired Bowden after a 11-0 season.

All I am saying is they have a different respect and different expectations of men receiving $2.5 million salaries than we do.

It's hard to say if UGA manages coaches as well as Auburn.

Since Pat Dye's last season at Auburn (92), Auburn has had 5 coaches, with a grand total of 3 conference championships. That's 21 years with 3 SEC titles with all the coaching turnover they've had. At present, they have one national title, which can be contributed to Cam Newton rather than Chizik, the Auburn AD, or anyone else. Is that because Auburn has managed their coaches well?

Yeah, Malzahn has done a good job with Auburn this year, but he had a lot of help to get hem where they are right now, which is something our program doesn't get.

Better to be lucky than good, I guess, but we aren't very lucky.

Good question I know they rotated 3 QBs all through 2011 which isn't Malzahn's style because they have to learn his offense. Of course he left at the end of the season so maybe it was Chizik's decision I mainly offered the info to show that you don't just hire a guy and instantly win championships.

Chizik's first year with Auburn was 2009. His second year, they won the MNC. Yeah, it wasn't one year, but it was two years in that case.

No one would argue that Chizik was an awesome coach who single-handedly brought Auburn a MNC in his 2nd year, though. There was a lot more to it (Cam Newton was the biggest piece).

Malzahn was a couple of fluke plays away from being 11-2 or 10-3 (which is still respectable) instead of 12-1 and playing for a MNC.

Kind of like we were a couple of plays away from being 6-6 in the season.

Perhaps, but it just goes to show that the head coach is not the only factor in wins and losses and how a season turns out.

Holy frick. Could you come over here and be more fricking polarizing? Every thing is a Disney vs "Real Fans" for you. The fact that you can't see past that speaks volumes.

Your sig makes me sad. Whatever happened to Hicks? Is he in Richt's Dog house? Injuries? Too much beastmode for college football?
