Maybe, but he would probably be a backup to Hurts, as the running threat is much more important to their current offense.

Re: Hurts vs Eason

Kiffin has done a great job there at molding the offense around the QB's skill set. Right now, the QB run is a big part of their offense. If Eason was there, the downfield pass would be a bigger part of their offense.

Eason will be deadly when we can establish a PA game. He would start at Bama too.

IMO he would be close to deadly now if we keep him in the shotgun a lot more often. It's what he ran in HS and it's what he's comfortable with.

I'd like to see him be able to execute both effectively, but I understand your point.

I agree, but I'd rather run more of what he's comfortable with right now while he adjusts to the speed of SEC football.

He would start at a lot of places but not over Hurts.

Agree with this. Hurts as a dual-threat QB has added a whole new dimension to Bama's offense. I think even Saban might well see the advantage of recruiting dual-threat QB's now that Kiffin has shown him what can be down with one.

I mean, other than being a 4 star Center out of HS, multi year starter, a Rimington watch list, All Sec, and anticipated NFL draft.... he totally sucks!!!!

Meanwhile, Bamas guy was recruited as a Tackle and then moved to 2nd string guard last year, and fell into the center job this year when they moved the guy who was expected starting to Guard... he may end up being great, but these are the facts....

He sucks this year because he knows that 70% of the time one of our backs is going to be diving at his ankles from behind almost as soon as he snaps the ball...damndest thing I ever saw on a football field....
