Seems like if he can stand tall in the pocket and our line and backs can hold he is gonna eat up some defenses who are dropping in to try and stop Chubb. Gonna be a nice open mid field for Shotty to tear up with tight ends and slot guys. And it is readying the team for the next tall QB too.

This is all good but I would have felt better had he transferred without having been beat out for his job. He abandons his footwork and technique with pressure as I saw numerous throws off balance and off of the back foot. If he's the stud some would like us to believe then why did he get beat for his job. That being said I hope he breaks every record we have enroute to a natty! Go Dawgs

Hopefully the OL will be as expected then, because whenever he does have time he can be very good.

Maybe he's not the spread/read option QB they were trying to make him become?

The real question is whether or not our coaches can get rid of the learned behavior of throwing off his back foot/leaning away from the throws in the face of pressure. I'm sure they've been telling him to step into his throws or if the pressure is too much to take a sack but some QBs just can't help it. Having a good OLine and running game to keep the down and distance manageable should make life easier for him.

I think our passing attack will be better this year than it was last year and that Lambert will challenge at the intermediate and deep level much more often than Mason did. I also think he's going to have a few bone headed turnovers that hopefully wont cost us any games.

who said he's a stud?

We didn't even know who our starter was until 2 days ago, so obviously we're going to start talking about him more than we used to.

Don't think the rant or Mr. Brinson are claiming that. Try again.

That right? Because it seems to me the premise of the thread is analyzing him. Ya know, talking about him...breaking down his game. We could analyze Bauta too if we wanted..would that mean we all think he's a stud? Hell, here's the bottom line conclusion of the linked article

quote:

Either way, I'm taking the John Theus route on this one:
“I don’t know if I’ve watched a single down of Virginia football,” senior left tackle John Theus said. “But he came to Georgia and busted his butt.”

Nobody anywhere other than true kool aid addicts have said he is a stud. If people TRULY thought that, wouldn't they have said it prior to 3 days ago?

Some people just live to be negative about everything. And we have a ton of them on this board.

I admit I only skimmed the article, but the parts I saw seemed to compliment him in spite of his stats at UVA.

You're trying to stir up some narrative so it can come crashing down later, that way you can come on the rant and say told ya so.

No one is claiming Greyson will lead us to the NC.

No. I'm merely offering an opinion of an article I read.

I thought that was what these message boards were for. Maybe you have a different outlook.

And we are merely telling you that your opinion is off base and to quit trying to use to fit your ridiculous narrative.
