Yep, it was Rennie. And not a better human being has ever suited it up for UGA.

I think the amount of damage is what's making it a felony. I'm probably wrong though.

It's a freaking BB gun in a dorm. They make those things to be damn near indestructible. How much damage could it possibly cause?

This is the dumbest fricking offseason arrest I've ever seen. Dumb for the police for actually cuffing them for having a BB gun and dumb for them shooting shite in a dorm room with a BB gun. Just a ton of dumb shite going on there. Unless they did immense property damage with said BB gun, then the charges need to be reduced. This is some retard bullshite.

You might be right, but I was thinking it was a gun in a school zone? I realize a pellet/BB Gun isn't really a gun, but, that seems to be what is indicated by the story I read.

And by damage I don't mean the actual damage. I sprayed a fire extinguisher in a bar and they initially charged me with a felony because the owner claimed I caused $10,000 in damage. That obviously wasn't true and I never was convicted of a felony. The initial charge is always outlandish.

They won't actually end in felony charges. They'll be saddled with misdemeanors when it's all said and done but the fact remains that this is just beyond stupid to have to wake up and read about. Both kids are immature and stupid given that they could have hit someone on the hall with a ricochet and be facing assault with a weapon charges, not to mention that in this day and age it just takes one overzealous cop to convince himself the guns are real and start firing. Bad situation to put themselves in at just around midnight. And then there's the actual arrest itself which is insane to think that two freshmen are going to lose the right to vote or gain meaningful employment because they shot at a dorm door with a BB gun. Just a whole lot of stupid in one story.

Publicity stunt to get Deal to sign the campus carry bill obviously. Rochester and Clay are just student activists...

Ugh. Dumb effing arrest. It's almost definitely "firearm in a school zone" that is making it a felony. I have a relative who ended up with a felony arrest for shooting an airsoft bb gun from a car and it was something to do with "shooting a firearm from a moving vehicle" or some bullshite. The problem with that is that an airgun of any kind is not a "firearm" due to the lack of explosive... so not really sure what legalese bullshite allows for it to be a felony.

looking on another board and a few people seem to be in concensus on a few details. IF you want to believe some of these things, which may or may NOT be factual, go ahead. I'm just passing along, I don't know shite myself.

-this happened last week, not last night, and they just turned themselves in yesterday
-this was NOT an issue of overzealous ACCPD. Apparently, CC/JR were fricking around shooting stuff and broke a window and tore up an elevator. That's when a maintenance guy called it in. It's not like the police just showed up and strong armed them, they were just responding to a call and doing what they're required to
-It's UGA that is bringing the noise here (property damage to the building and having "guns" in the residence). Not the ACCPD.

This makes me feel SLIGHTLY better, in that I feel Kirby will have more control than if it was just a police vs players thing. Surely there's someone on campus Kirby can talk to to help alleviate this thing.

tore up an elevator.

How do you even do that with a bb gun?

The broken window thing I could see.

Ok. I've gotta know. Why the heck did you spray a bar with a fire extinguisher?

Not necessarily bb gun damage in the elevator, but I don't know anything. I assume when I saw that maybe they were getting buck in there or something and tore shite up. Maybe they were drunk, who knows.

This is true, and I had thought of that....but, it still seems like an over reaction.

Rochester is known as a prankster trying to always have fun and play jokes.....it's good to have a couple on the team to keep things light, but they tend to get into minor trouble for doing dumb things.

Well we have been under our quota the last few years. Trying to make up for it by doing doubles.

We are never going to get anywhere with these ACCPD fricksticks. The "arrests" our players have had in the past are a damn joke
