After Georgia Tech lost to Georgia in 2009, he famously said his Jackets had “bigger fish to fry.”

Best part about that "bigger fish" comment is that since that game he is 31-39 against teams in BCS conferences.

Paul Johnson loses football games, and Tech loves him.

But he loses them in the right way. And the dude is hell on wheels with a slide rule.

Perhaps you guys can tell me who, given GT's built-in restrictions, we could get that would be any better.

I'll hang up and listen...

If Richt couldn't win with top 10 classes, what makes you think he could win with 30-40 ranked classes?

He would recruit better than that.

Your "restrictions" didn't keep you from signing a top 15 class before Gailey's last season.

Lightning in a bottle. Other than that one Gailey's classes were ranked no higher that Johnson's.

Stanford is a great school, but they also have a metric shite-ton of majors they can put athletes in that aren't really very difficult. GT has no easy majors. Imagine if the easiest major at UGA was business. You'd never win another game.

Stanford also very rarely wins championships.
