I believe that was 2004. 2002 we skull fricked them the worst we ever have in history

That's the one where it was like 38 degrees and pouring down rain. So miserable.

I was glad that I stayed till the end of that one. My favorite Reggie Ballll moment of all time. 4th and long, down five,as the pass rush approaches he throws the ball into the stands.

At some point, rain could be heavy enough that the field can't drain

The turf might get torn up but the field is built to drain. Tanyard creek runs under the stadium and it would take a bunch of water to fill the culvert it runs through.

If push comes to shove, we could send a crew down to plug all the drain pipes and try playing in a swimming pool.

Yeah, the Oconee will likely flood (which could jeopardize River Road) as Tanyard Creek drains into it via the cemetery. But the field should be alright for the most part.

Saint Richt will separate the seas!

Dawgs win rain or shine or massive ESPN hype / excuse machine forth coming after Sterling Baikey eats Cocker.

Well, if it rains throughout the rest of the morning and afternoon I'll feel ok about it. I'd only head over for the tailgating; like hell I'm going to bother scalping.

My house will be warm, my beer will be cold, and my feet will be dry. Plus, this is actually a very solid day of football so I'm not bemoaning the idea of being able to channel surf before the game.

Ugh I know. OU/WVU at noon, us at 330, then Clemson/ND. Would love to have watched it all but this must be done.

2004 was very wet and also very cold. That's when Reggie Ball literally threw the game away for the nerds. I was a freshman but lucky enough to get under the overhang at the back of the student section 100 level

It was 2004. Finley's right, 38* at kickoff. It poured so hard the stairs looked like waterfalls. The consession stand behind 128 caught fire and closed. It seemed like EVERYBODY left early. Pollack and Greene's last game in Athens. Greene played hurt and we won. Without a pancho...
