6 game suspension is too much, might as well make it the full year and hopefully we get another full two to three years of him playing.

No one wants to come in half way through the season. What a waste on his part and ours.

Exactly. It's more important that he gets his business taken care of before he ruins his, or someone elses life.

News flash...its called multi-tasking, we all do it.

His sobriety isn't slowing him down during the day.

He is a young kid who cant hold his liquor. Probably never drank in his life before getting to UGA.

Here come the people who don't drink anymore to be more "holier than thou" than former smokers. We get it. Stfu

There is a difference between drinking and passing out in the drivers seat of your car in the middle of an intersection after you've already had 2 previous alcohol related incidents.

I drink.. quite a bit actually. But I've never passed out in my car in the middle of the road. frick people who drink and drive, you are all selfish pieces of shite and/or have a serious problem if you can't handle your shite. A problem that will get you or more importantly someone else killed (because if you like to get blackout and drive around I couldn't give 2 shits if you ran into a pole and went up in flames and it took 2 weeks to identify your body). The kid needs help and he better get it before someone else gets hurt and damn right that comes before playing sports.

That lecture aside, I certainly didn't defend drinking and driving.

At least he's still on the team. CMR would have sent him packing.

My comment has nothing to do with him getting a DUI.

Only those who feel as though they struggle with Alcohol problems or know some one always want to share their story.

I am talking about either suspend him for the whole year or let him play by now. Its a waste to bring him in at game 7.

His alcohol problems have nothing to do with football, dont try and combine the two.

I wasn't originally talking about a dui either but got shame sucked into it so I had to clear the air there. Alcohol is awesome, in moderation, and if you can't handle it that's fine too.

I assume this was meant for me and not the other guy.

I've never been a drinker. I have, however had more than one friend die because of a drunken driver. He has had more than one incident, and the coaches, I am sure have had a talk with him, and know the situation better than anybody. Instead of trying to get troubled kids back behind the wheel of a car, why don't we let them take care of their problem?

So. It is your position that if you don't drink you are garbage, or your opinion doesn't count? Sounds reasonable.

Wasn't his really more of a case of drinking and parking improperly? He wasn't really "driving".

I don't drink (much, at least). I never drink when I carry a gun. I almost always carry, therefore, I almost never drink.

You want to drink? Have at it. Just don't get behind the wheel when you're not sober.
