Is there anything credible that says Richt quit on the team and the players. As much as I wanted Richt gone, I find that very hard to believe.

Starting a running QB against UF who had never played and then not running him?

This. Bauta was promised a start at the beginning of the season but coaches had no game plan for him once he took the helm. No good for anybody. Call me what you want for whatever reason, but Pruitt was the only coach from coordinator up who was doing his job after UT. I'm glad that Pruitt had the pride in his job to try and light a fire.

Offense:
vs Mizzou - 9 pts
vs UF - 3 pts
vs KY - 27 pts
vs AU - 20 pts
vs GSU - 23 pts
vs Tech - 13 pts

Flying across the country after the auburn game to have pancakes with Eason was the first time it became perfectly obvious that Richt just didn't care anymore. He'd lost his drive and was tired and just wanted it to be over.

Then that quitter took 48 whole hours after getting fired to go out and find another HC job.

2015 was a total quit-fest, dude.

. I seriously doubt there will be any subordinate issue with Pruitt at Alabama because everybody will be doing their jobs of coaching football and keep their mission work their personal time.

It's the truth but you better not say that....you'll be accused of having reading comprehension level potato.

Hey Jefferson......I'm gonna aim my headlights into your bedroom windows. Throw empty beer cans at both of your shadows. I didn't come here to start a fight but I'm up for anything tonight. You done messed with the wrong Bulldog baby....and drove me redneck crazy.

You do have potato reading comprehensions. Because I made the EXACT same fricking point earlier that you quoted from what's his face. (minus the typical childish cheap shot about Richt's faith, of course)

How sad is it when cheap shots are the truth.

No he did not. Because the type of shite that pissed Pruitt off about UGA does not occur under Saban to begin with. Saban knows Pruitt as good as anyone and was probably nonchalant about someone he knows to be a fierce competitor and a seeker of titles getting ticked off about apathy a culture of mediocrity.

Bauta didn't even have one snap - not one - before he gets the start against Florida. Bauta is the worst passer among our 3 QBs. We give him the start against possibly the best DB unit in the conference. His supposed strength is his ability to hurt a defense with his legs. We have him drop back and pass all game. Florida's offense this year might be worse than ours. So just don't turn the ball over and we've got a real chance. So we start the one QB with the best chance to cough the ball up and give him a game plan that guarantees it. And he follows through with four interceptions in one game as Florida's defense leads the rout. On Monday, Bauta is playing safety on the scout team.

Look, that debacle had to be caused by one of 3 things:

1. CMR wanted to make sure we lost that game;
2. CMR had quit and just didn't give a shite; or
3. CMR is not very bright.

Regardless, it was time for a change. Just my .02

I'm thinking now that Richt knew he was gone and gave us a big frick you, then played the victim, all the while having the UM job waiting for him the whole time...

He got us... He got us good.

Take the Pruitt fanboy blinders off....

Just because Saban hired Lane Kiffen doesn't mean he condones and celebrates everything about him, numerous short-comings and all. It means he sees his specific value in him and believes he can tame the short-comings.

It's the same thing with Pruitt.

But, by all means, go on believing that Saban, a coach that doesn't even allow his coordinators to talk to the press was over in Tuscaloosa doing fist pumps of respect and praising Pruitt for insubordination every time a tantrum leaked out.

I agree with all that and I never Thought Richt was very bright but he suffered for years under McGarity and he was fed up.

I hope Richt succeeds in Miami.

One thing that hasn't been followed up on is how Richt denied being contacted by Miami about the job back in October when it came open.......but then in his Miami intro press conference, he said he was contacted about the job immediately after Golden was fired but said "no".

Not sure if he didn't mean to let that slip out. Or if he was coming clean about it.

UGA did not pay for Richt's flight. UGA pays for all flights that are for UGA business purposes.

I think they paid, but made him fly commercial. Which was a way to discourage it.

It sounds to me Jefferson that you have conflicting thoughts about this whole thing: You call out other UGA fans as Pruitt defenders, but also denounce Richt's quitting on the team.

Perhaps the Pruitt defenders are just saying that, even had Pruitt not said anything about the mid-season quitting, then the so-called cancer in the lockerroom and how the team prepared for the end of the season would still have happened, because Richt and perhaps some of the offensive coaches had "quit" on the season.

If that was truly the case, then I can see little good happening for ANY FB program the rest of the way. You can't compete when the desire to do so has gone.

So regardless of whether or not Pruitt confronted Richt/Shotty/etc. at THAT point, is pointless: the damage has been done. But perhaps it's commendable that ANY assistant coach should step up and chastise his fellow coaches for letting that happen.

In any case it should be understandable at least for Pruitt's actions, him having left a NC program like FSU for UGA and then to see it fall apart more or less beginning from the inside of the coaching staff out - from the very men he left FSU to come work for. It should be understandable for Pruitt to take serious personal offense at this. Perhaps that's all that the "Pruitt lovers" here are trying to say....

In any case, the arguments regarding Saban: he hasn't been fired yet, or failed to reach an ultimatum in mid-season to keep his job, so we don't know exactly HOW he would react or behave to something like that, or how his staff would as well. Perhaps under similar circumstances that Richt went through, Pruitt would've went to Saban's house and thrown him into the lake.....

Pretty sure all of Richt's and Bobo's recruiting flights to Washington state have been flown commercial. I remember reading about Bobo talk about having to take Delta.

Either way. Richt trekking to Washington directly after the Auburn game sounds more like a man desperately trying to keep his job than one that has already quit. Doesn't it?
