Weekdays, just a cup of black coffee. Occasionally I'll grab a Starbucks breakfast sandwich or a bagel or donut if I have time. Usually don't eat much until lunch (my mornings are typically pretty early and busy)

Weekends: Black coffee, eggs or soup (sometimes I'll make a chili for the weekend), and Bavarian sausage with spicy mustard

If I get the chance to eat out for breakfast, I love the traditional grits, hash browns, pancakes, biscuits and gravy spread. Mrs Durden doesn't care for any of that other than the hashbrowns, though, so I don't usually make it at home

When I'm staying at my SIL's house in Watkinsville, I've gottin into this habit of driving down to the Golden Pantry on Hog Mountain road. There is usually 3 ladies back there making biscuits, frying sausage/eggs/bacon/potato wedges. I estimate that on any given morning, there is over 150 wrapped salty/greasy delicacies available.

Those biscuits are crunchy on the top and crunchy on the bottom.

Is it one of the golden pantries with the square biscuits?! Those are amazing.

If it is the one on the corner of 53 and 78, they only have powdered creamer so I stopped going there back in 2007.

The best Golden Pantry is the one on Jefferson Road, corner of Whitehead by the train tracks. Square biscuits and they don't skimp you. Just don't get the spicy chicken then go sit in a john boat on Bear Creek.

Biscuits and gravy with a little hot sauce plus coffee and diet coke starts the day out right.

I lived in the duplexes behind there for one year when I was at UGA in the mid 90s. I rode my bike down there almost daily it seems.
