He can learn and grow just as well by easing him along. It's very rare that a true freshman comes in and starts. Rosen was the exception to the rule last year. By putting him in before he's ready you could just as easily hurt his development as you could help him grow. An atheletes mind can be a fragile thing.

At the end of the day though I trust the coaches to do what is best for the team.

Let's slow down there, he didn't do anything to win us games last year, he just tried his best not to lose us the game and prayed the defense would bail him out.

Lambert did exactly what the OC and HC asked of him. He called the plays sent in from the OC. Blame THEM for the crappy play on offense.

And they called those crappy plays because they knew his limitations?

Lambert is a mediocre QB at best period. He couldn't keep the starting job at VA for goodness sakes!

Play the kid. He won't be worse and very well will be better. Plus it bodes well for the probable next two years we have him.

Everybody who I've seen say they want him to start, say that with the understanding that they know there will be growing pains and freshman mistakes that we'll have to deal with. I don't think any reasonable people are assuming that he'll just throw for 30 TDs and 3 ints his first year, but rather that he'll learn and grow so that when he's a Sophomore or Junior he'll be prepared to do something special.

I also agree with this^^^
I don't expect Eason to start v. UNC. I do expect him to get reps and even more reps if Lambert continues to play like he's scared.
Also, CKS and staff will know who is gonna start that game but we/media won't know shite. As previously mentioned CKS doesn't tell the media shite- and I like it. CMR would give all stats right after a scrimmage. CKS in his presser was like "I don't have them.
Yeah, sure you don't buddy- but I approve of this approach. Media must hate him compared to Richt...but oh well.

It is funny because this is what a lot of people grumbled about during CMR's time at UGA. The lack of naming a starter right away when there was a battle going on.
You guys relax and it will work itself out. In addition to CKS I am sure Chaney knows a QB that is starter mterial when he sees it. I guess Kirby is doomed since we don't have a starter listed. It also seems that many God teams recently have gone through these situations. Bama and FSU I do believe have had to deal with this last year.
