And there is no way your totals are right for UGA unless Tech has only finished in the top 25 twice in 15 years.

In the last 10 years, Tech was ranked 4 times I believe. I would have to go back. I have to admit, SC has played more than I thought, but my point still stands that it is rare for anybody else to schedule as many quality OOC teams as we do. Typically they schedule 1 quality team a year while we schedule GT and one other quality team.

McGarity has specifically said that they were moving away from stronger OOC scheduling. That makes for easier paths to the CFP... so long as you win the games you ought to. He doesn't have that assurance from our coach.

Take out Clemson and what do they have? We were talking about the secondary P5 schools. And there is no way your totals are right for UGA unless Tech has only finished in the top 25 twice in 15 years.

I went back and recounted with 2001 included:

- 12 (+Clemson2015) for SC
- 9 for UGA

Take out instate rivals for each:

- 5 for UGA
- 3 for SC

Turns out Clemson is a much tougher program than GTU is.

Don't get the "finishing with 10 wins is the worst thing" scenario. I would love to win it, have momentum for next year and end up ranked. Would never cheer for my own team to lose. Also regardless of record beating Auburn or GT is a good thing.

So long as we aren't ranked in the top 10... and Corso quits picking us to win games. I swear, with the exception of 2012, our preseason ranking has become a horoscope for how poorly we perform. I think we're like 0-6 when Corso picks us to win big games.

True enough. Sadly, a large hunk of the fan base isn't bright enough to understand that "playing to win" and "coaching not to lose" are not the same thing.

Cool, except we're talking about two teams and not just our instate rival.

Turns out SC has faced a tougher group of OOC teams than we have.
