Don't tell Jefferson this.

McConkey returning for his 4th year has broken the man. He acts like McConkey took his girlfriend.

I haven't seen a specific quote yet. I'm just going off of what he has been "leaking" to various insiders on the pay sites.

The portal just makes it easier for upper echelon schools to process "dead weight" out, without having to pull scholarships, which would be bad optics.

This is why the portal benefits the very schools it was designed to hurt.

Every so often, you will lose a player that you wish you could have kept, for whatever reason, but the benefits far outweigh the negatives for a school like UGA.

People are being ridiculous.

Yeah losing AD hurts, but that's why Kirby already brought in Lovett and Thomas through the portal.

We'll be fine.

I'm losing a little more interest in the sport every day,

If you are losing interest after your team has just won B2B titles, then maybe you should just stop watching all together. We don't need "fans" like you.

People enjoy CFB vs the NFL for tradition, loyalty, school pride, etc. When changes are made that undermine these things, it hurts the sport.

It's great that UGA is doing amazing, and transfers/NIL might ensure UGA is at the top for a long time. I think everyone is rooting for the Dawgs.

But those things are changing a sport people have grown up to love. CFB is different now.

When a guy commits to the school, is it because he loves the University and wants to be a Dawg? Or is it because he has an NIL deal to promote a brand of potato chips for $1m?

I guess it shouldn't matter if the results are the same, but it feels different.
