We may need to bump the 2017 thread as Tray Scott is after Breiden Fehoko

This is good.

If he reels him in that would be one hell of a first impression

Wouldn't shock me in the least. Kirby brought in 4-6 guys after NSD last year, if memory serves me correctly.

Why yes... yes it would.

If anyone hasn't seen his highlights, he would be one hell of an addition with the likely departure of Trent after the 2017 season as well.

Maybe I'm missing something but this guy only had 19 tackles and 1 sack last year. Why are we so excited about bringing him in?

I'm not familiar with the kid...but you can dominate without making a lot of tackles and/or sacks. A lot of defensive schemes revolve around a DT disrupting plays and taking on double teams to allow the LBs to make the tackles. He was an US All American, so you would think he has ability/potential.

It's what we do... fantasize about how these nobody's will be the key to turning the program around. Remember the penile spasms over Catalina?

Have we had a JUCO/Grad transfer since Toby Johnson who legitimately contributed?

Maurice Smith, Javon Wims, Tyler Catalina, Greyson Lambert, Chuks Amaechi, Mark Beard all contributed to different extents

True enough about Mo Smith. I deliberately knock Catalina and Lambert because I don't equate starting as contributing, necessarily.

Didn't Jake Ganus lead us in tackles?

Not sure if he was a grad transfer though.

Jesus, my memory was seriously selective. Ganus was outstanding.

I withdraw the rhetorical question. It's been a long week.

UGA went 11-2 in games started by Lambert.
We would've won more games in '16 if we rode him for the season.

But I'm personally glad that we took our lumps with Eason.
Our last 3 freshmen starting QBs...
Greene: SEC Championship and #3 national finish
Stafford:#2 national finish
Murray:#2 national finish

I would have bet otherwise.

Lambert was much more efficient as a junior than Eason was as a freshman. Because of that efficiency... even the ultra conservative Lambert had a significantly better ypa than Eason.

If you score consistently in the first 3 quarters... you don't need the 4th quarter heroics that Lambert lacked.

Still... I will take the struggles in 2016 for what a returning QB in '17 and '18 gives us moving forward. Winning more games in '16 doesn't mean that we would have won the division, the SEC, or even made a better bowl (record doesn't seed teams in nonplayoff bowls anymore ).

If we can get him on the roster that would give us quality depth to just pound the opponents Offenses oline. Dude is pretty good.

A lot of new offers sent out today, most notably to Trey Dean. Also a punter/kicker got a full offer, not much longer until Rodrigo's dad challenges Kirby to a late night Waffle House brawl.
