If all charges are dropped and discipline is handled internally... then, we will know we have our Saban...

Because we all know... that no matter what... you never, ever, ever hit a girl...

Ever!

Unless you are really good at tackle football and play for our favorite ballclub. Then it's fine.

Holy crap, TM!

Did you read what I had originally responded to?

Wow! I was in the twilight Zone for a second!

I hate to lose Demery, but Kirby didn't have a choice. Good move, time to move on. I'm sure Auburn is licking their chops

remember the guy we kicked off for hitting his gf, then BAMA picked him up

And then subsequently released him shortly thereafter because he screwed up yet again? It's only a matter of time with these types.

I understand why they released him but I'm not so sure it was the best move in this situation other than for PR

They wanna be equal? I made her equal.

Plus pushing the gf isn't that bad if she was physically/verbally abusing him

Now the choking part is a bit over the top but we still need to let the facts surface before we make any rash decisions.

So I'm guessing you only beat your woman when she really deserves it.

Releasing him was the best, and only, move that could be made. They gave the kid a chance and he paid them back by deeply embarrassing the school, team, and coaching staff.

No excuse for what he did. Hopefully they cleared his locker out for him and he will never be allowed to set foot in there again.

Congrats to Auburn, I guess.

Seems a little hasty to me. There are lots of domestic violence cases these days and a lot of times it takes some time for the whole story to come out. People can embellish things if not totally make them up. Lots of times each party bears some responsibility for what transpired and frequently statements get retracted. Oftentimes the police are not there when the incident transpired and witness little, if anything. Regardless, their job is to diffuse the situation and leave it to the justice system to sort things out. And I hate to think of people being tried/disciplined/dismissed based on a police report.

I'm certainly not condoning verifiable domestic violence but a little due process doesn't hurt anything.
