Sooo apparently D'Antne Demery got arrested on 2 misdemeanor charges according to the Macon Telegraph.

Sounds like he went into a girlfriend's place and was a little rough......
No bond is typical in this situation until he can for a judge and get the bond set by the judge. Typical it's a few hundred bucks and a no-contact order on the "alleged victim."
This does not sound good, but the fact they are calling them misdemeanors helps....However, UGA has a zero tollerence policy on domestic abuse, so we shall see once more information comes about on who was the victim and how it all played out

Initial reports aren't good- choking out baby mama at Waffle House then later pushing her and threw her downtown. If they are true then frick that kid, hopefully he never makes it to campus.

Since NSD, things have been rather shitty. However, and I know I shouldn't say this, but at least it wasn't another OT, like Thomas or Wilson

IF these allegations are true then he probably won't be making it to campus again. I know he's been through some rough stuff lately but there's no excusing this.

Is there any evidence of the gf being abusive before this happened? We all know women now a days want to be treated equal yet they think they can physically and verbally abuse men with no repercussions.
The reason why I ask this is because it was listed a misdemeanor charge, so it doesn't sound as bad as it could have been. Plus pushing the gf isn't that bad if she was physically/verbally abusing him.
Now the choking part is a bit over the top but we still need to let the facts surface before we make any rash decisions. Remember what happened with Crowell and the charges got dropped. Also if we do end up kicking him off the team, can we as a school, not let him transfer to another SEC school? Or does this work only for transfers and not when a student gets dismissed from the team? I just hate how our trash keeps getting picked up by fellow SEC schools (remember the guy we kicked off for hitting his gf, then BAMA picked him up).

If the allegations are true, he should never play a down of football in Athens.
Sucks because I was excited about the kid's potential, but there's never an excuse for his alleged actions.

Sounds like the hands were to the back of the neck. But it's the neck, so a choking charge isn't a surprise.
Not good. I wouldn't be surprised if he's gone. Media, the league, and the university are going to be more and more sensitive to this issue. No tolerance.
