Caleb king in high school was damn impressive. Caleb King post leg injury and in a college classroom was a disaster

Caleb looked great running through huge holes, no leg drive, lower half just wasn't powerful. And I'm talking about pre-leg injury. I remember watching his junior film and not being impressed. I see another Caleb in Holyfield. He may be a better kid and not have knucklehead moments like Caleb but I don't see him being one to remember when his time at UGA is done. I hope I'm wrong.

You know, if he comes in and is as productive as, say, a Thomas Brown or Danny Ware, I'll be plenty happy with that. We've been spoiled by the likes of Gurley and Chubb. Just because a guy may not live up to that standard doesn't mean he's not a good back. I think we'll be perfectly happy with Holyfield and Whaley carrying the load in the future.

Let's hope the OL recruits coming in can open lanes the current lot seems to be unable to do against the likes of Bama. If they can, then these future backs will have plenty of opportunity to produce Gurley-like performances.

We need to put Momma Gary's concerns to rest and get Rashan on board already.

IMO Whaley is better than Holyfield. Time will tell though

What? King was a beast in high school. Unless you are saying he wasn't bowling people over.

I tend to agree but I'm gun shy with guys that play at private schools like Woodward.

How so?Marist and St. Pius both have produced solid recruits over the years not to mention GAC,Lovett,Wesleyan and Westminster (to a lesser extent)

Hell,Marist has produced 13 guys who made it to the NFL.

Of course they've produced guys who haven't been homeruns but the same can be said for just about every other powerhouse public school.

I wouldn't worry about guys that come from big private schools. Guys that come from the really small private schools I would worry about. Woodward plays a lot of quality opponents during the year.

As will I. I just don't want either of them to come in and be like RSIV

If Nauta were to commit now, we'd have the #1 class with the Sam amount of recruits as the top 5 and still have a good chance with 3 more 5* and 3 more good 4*....just saying...

No leg drive, no vision. He was really good at running through holes that were supposed to be there, running through the half-assed arm tackles of slow, skinny white kids he outweighed by 30 lbs, and running past slow, skinny white DB's he outweighed by 50 lbs. There was nothing impressive to me about his HS film.

Conversely, I watched Knowshons high school film and knew he would be a good one. Watched Gurley and Marshall and knew Gurley was the stud between the two and knew Chubb would be the heir to Gurleys throne while everyone was busy sucking Sonys dick.

Don't ask for my opinion on any other position on the field because I don't know how to judge the talent. I just have an eye for RB. The only one Ive been wrong about so far is Crowell...and I am still amazed he made it to the NFL.

We're talking about Parkview football here right? Played in the largest division in football that Georgia offers in arguably the second toughest region at the time in the state and you are telling me that he ran through white boys that weighed 30 lbs less than him so they were all around 160 lbs? That was his sophomore and junior year of football. That film was mighty damn impressive.

Watched Mecole play last night. We have to have him. WR IMO. My pops asked a guy from Elbert Co where he was going and the guy replied UT.

ETA: Doesnt mean shite, hopefully the guy is just a UT homer.

I'm from Elbert County as well, and I've always gotten the vibe from people that live there that he is going to Tennessee.

I would have guessed Elbert County to be a UGA stronghold. Where is the UT interest coming from?

I believe that one of the coaches on staff went to Tennessee and was pushing Mecole there for a while now. He was definitely 100% UT before this summer the we put the full court press on him and finally told him that he could get the chance to play receiver in Athens. That definitely closed things big time, but I think the relationships that he made with Tennessee's coaching staff will hold in the end.

Seems UGA would be a better choice for Hardman given: 1) Eason, 2) our need for speedy receivers who can play early, and 3) closer to home from him.
