The more you talk the more I'm convinced you know nothing about football.

Well, he's dominated the 7 on 7 camps against some very good prospects. Dominated.

Heh, nope. Never made it past Ms. Spinny Spinnerson's generous bazooms.

Im gonna go over stregths and weaknesses that I saw from Woerners highlight tape on hudl.

Strengths:
He is obviously very large and can run really well for a big guy. He has great vertical stems and really chews up yardage on his defender before going to his post or corner route. He uses the stick step in his routes very well to transfer weight. He looks very strong, has great balance, and a solid center of gravity allowing him to stay up when getting hit. He is a pretty sound blocker with great energy but i'd like to seem him attack his defenders with a tad more aggression. No doubt once he makes contact he destroys the defenders.

Weaknesses:
In his film we never see him go through a 90 or 45 degree cut. All we see are rolling routes. Not saying he cant do that we just dont see him run a curl, dig, or a comeback. Rabun clearly likes to throw the ball vertically and doesnt appear to have an intermediate passing game. I dont like the way Woerner has been taught run a bunble screen but this is easily fixable when he gets on campus. That being said, I dont really expect him to run a bubble screen at the college level but you never know. Something I am worried about is his leaping ability. This will be allow him to be more effective on the deep ball, in man situations, and in the red zone. Again, not really meaning he cant jump it just isnt seen on film and i haven't researched his vertical jump or 40 time.

Overall: I worry when he gets to college that the strength and size difference compared to high school will make woerner just another player. His effort when blocking shows me a commitment to be more than average and that is why I believe he can be great. I see him as a smaller Gronkowski but i dont think he needs to gain any weight unless he grows a couple of inches to 6'7 or 6'8 and then move him to TE. Id like to see him lean up and gain power, strength, and explosiveness to be more effictive on the college level. I believe Woerner will not be a game changer but will be a true impact player as a WR starting his sophmore year or redshirt freshman year. I just see the transition for him being difficult that first year and then him really coming on after that.

Thank you, people on this board mistake objectivity for negativity for some reason. We have nothing against these guys but we're just being realistic. I hope he exceeds expectations and becomes a great student athelete but if we're evaluating his tape, that's what stands out.

That probably explains why he is considered one of the best WR prospects in the nation. I mean, I guess you're evaluation is quite possibly better than everyone's. GOod job

I think Woerner is going to be great. Not only can he make difficult catches look easy, once he makes the catch Woerner is extremely difficult to bring down. I think Charlie has the potential to be like Gronk and create a huge mismatch.

Is it not at all telling that when a guy who does NO camps, NO interviews, and hardly takes any visits whatsoever, is considered one of the best wr prospects in the country? He's a 4 star and doesn't do the camp circuit. At all. Other prospects that take that approach aren't even ranked. The kid is a natural and absolutely will be a game changer because he can line up anywhere on the field and is a matchup nightmare for all 11 on the other side of the ball.

Woerner....

quote:

While Georgia and other programs vie for the services of prospects that have already given their verbal commitments, Woerner says the recruiting process is over for him, and now he can focus on giving his all for Rabun County, and then Georgia.

"I am very excited to play for Georgia," Woerner said. "My commitment is 100 percent. I don't believe in decommitting. It is going to be awesome playing 'between the hedges.'"

Looks like Kyle Davis' dad is cozying up to take a big ol' swig of the Barn Kool-Aid. Unofficial, this weekend.

He's welcome to it, and can choke on it. Just so long as his son doesn't partake.

While the information about KD's Auburn visit is news, the the statement that his father made which was in today's AJC article is stale and KD discounted that statement after it was made.

No one with half a brain would argue that Auburn is a better program than UGA for receivers who want to play in the NFL.
