Hi guys...wassup?...

Hearing the rift between CMR & McGarity is growing bigger by the day. Richt was pissed that McGarity passed the buck on asst. coaches salaries. Especially since CMR got in trouble with the NCAA in '11 for paying his asst's & key AD peeps $60,000 out of his own pocket...

I hope Richt starts airing his grievances publicly. I'd rather have a hot war in the AD than a cold war.

Might actually help UGA heal.

Even if it tears the current staff a part I want there to be a full out explosion in the AD. Make it ugly and make sure it brings that son of a bitch McGarity down, the BOR down, everyone.

Good news is that the majority of major boosters really like Bobo. If we lose him and take a hit of any significance because we were being cheap at the administrative level, the tide will turn against McGarity and co. quickly.

Big fans of Pruitt too. Seen some say that Pruitt has been going directly to boosters to get what he needs instead of going to mcgarity

I rather things remain calm and quiet and the school just start changing but I am thinking something awful has to happen so that the boosters and fans completely turn on the athletic department. Go full on Arkansas/Michigan and co against them.

This entire time I couldn't imagine our AD is truly so pitiful as to not give Bobo a raise. I figured that even Georgia isn't that stupid. And here we are.

Yeah that wouldn't surprise me.

BTW, how bad is that for a collegiate athletic department if that's even close to true?

Actually pretty normal. Administrators exist to put constraints on coaches and spending. Places like Bama and auburn are the exception, not the rule. What you hope is that the two sides can achieve a balance respective to the university and fanbase. Right now, it's becoming imbalanced

An assistant coach going straight to boosters to get support for changes in the program can't be normal. The HC, sure, but not assistants. Especially an assistant who hasn't even been at a school a full year.

That, no, is not normal. I meant the struggle between ad and coaches as being normal. Pruitt allegedly going to boosters is symptomatic of an imbalance

So if Bobo walks, Eason said he was staying pat unless Richt and Bobo go anywhere. I know that CMB is recruiter of record on Eason, but this will get interesting when he has to make good on an either/or situation that he's painted.

The unpopular truth is that we won SECCs with Richt calling the plays. Not saying I want Bobo gone, but it's worth considering.

I feel like we just have more constraints than most considering the quality of the program we have. I understand Bobo wanting a head coaching opportunity, I just hope he wasn't leaving for money (unless it is a significant increase) because that would not be a good look for our AD.

Do we have an idea of what recruits this will hurt us with in keeping them? I would guess Eason and Jefferson, but I'm not sure who else Bobo was close with.

The second best team in the league in 2002 was coached by Dennis Franchione (and was also on probation). It's a much different time now. Richt's love affair with 3rd and 6 sprint draws out of the I to set up his punt team won't cut it in the modern SEC. No one will fall for I formation play action on 3rd and 14 anymore; the opposing coaching is WAY too good for that.

HUGE NEWS: Eason's father says they wish Bobo the best, but Jacob is still committed to UGA status unchanged. They trust Richt will make the right hire.

They commit to the G. When it all comes down to it... coordinators do the talking, Richt does the walking. He's the head man... they commit to Richt. Great news...

Jacob Eason is sticking from the looks of it. Now we just need to find out where Van and Godwin are. I have faith that Godwin sticks but Van is probably a goner.

If Eason sticks, I'd think Jefferson and Godwin do too.
