he may have a stronger arm, but he's neither good at progressions nor is he very accurate. He's also made a couple of horrific decisions. He's a Soph so we'll see how he develops but absolutely not impressive so far tonight

It looks like the Cleveland Browns vs the San Antonio Express. Just embarrassing uniforms for both teams *retches* And as much as I respect Kliff Kingsbury as a brilliant offensive mind, I'm not sure what he sees in Davis Webb either. I can see the physical attributes but he has really bad mechanics and isn't very smart. Not saying Baker Mayfield was any better but....Yeah....

UCLA offensive line is awful
On that note, the FS1 broadcast just seems 2nd tier to me. I can't put my finger on what it is. I think it's the volume/announcers. Somehow it seems like a small game after watching ESPN

I'm with you on fs1. I actually don't like their fox college broadcasting either. Most people seem to though.

I live in Dallas. Should I watch the game tonight or make the short trip out to Rockwall to watch the Swaggcopter land?
So this freaked me out because I am currently staying with my parents this weekend who live in Rockwall... Guessing he is looking at the Heath Rockwall lineman?

Fox in general sucks for college ball

They seem very cheesy/cheap to me. ESPN gets a lot of flack, but I don't mind their CFB programming a bit.

It's Tim Brando.
I really don't have a problem with Brando. I meant the ambient sound vs the announcers.
Anyway, I think I figured it out just now. You couldn't hear the crowd at all but you could hear the cheerleaders shrill little "go whomever" (not sure which cheerleaders as I'm only half paying attention. You can also hear individual voices in the crowd.
Then a 30 yard pass and you hear the a distant roar of the crowd. They've just got the mic's all wrong. They have the ambient level too quiet and it seems they have a mic on the sidelines, not in the crowd. It makes the place seem empty as compared to being there or watching on CBS or even ESPN.
It's a subtle thing but I think good sound production really enhances a broadcast

Rockwall played Mesquite Poteet. He was going to see Malik Jefferson
Posted on 9/26/14 at 8:28 am to TexasAg13
Heard Jefferson was injured in the game. No link as I heard it from a co-worker. He said it was labeled a "significant concussion".

Didn't end up making it to the game, and haven't heard anything about it, but that means nothing. If so, hope Malik is okay. Concussions are scary.
