Plus if it could be proven that he was "counting down the days" that would count as "failing to carry out duties" and would justify firing for cause.

Can someone explain to me how he's a better coach in 2017 than in 2012? I think the writer of this article is trying to play both sides of the fence. At least he admits it's time for him to go.

I didn’t know people still read the eagle. And I lived in CS until 5 years ago and will probably be moving back in 2 years.....
Yeah that article was bad. A blocked punt that will live in infamy? He’s made a ton of other bad decisions worthy of canning him before his way too conservative approach to the end of a half. That decision doesn’t even register on the sumlin-mistake scale of ineptitude.
