Just checked, and it was way more than a week ago (time flies during the holidays), here's an old thread about it: LINK

Who are the TexAgs mods? It isn't just like Billy and Gabe, right?

No, there are a bunch. In fact, the mod that is the main guy in charge of watching Old Rivalries goes by twk and posts both here and on premium/varsity over there.

Admin actually changes your posts there?

Yeah I've had a few deleted. I've said some pretty crazy shite, but as far as I remember saying I would want a z-job from the entire women's soccer team(I think that was like two weeks), and getting a bit graphic about intercourse are the only two things I have ever been banned for. I did tell one of the guys on their radio show he should get his fat arse on a treadmill so he will get to spend time with his kids later in life(that was mean I feel bad about it) and it was only deleted, no ban. So I guess it all really depends.

TAMU had friends long before Clay got involved. He is no Chimp Brown, but he saw a marketing opportunity in conference realignment and ran with it. He went to Vandy for law school - as did Skip Bayless - and is a new era of law dogs posing as sports journalist (like Matt Jones at UK) instead of old school sports guys.

He was also not afraid to call out t.u. repeatedly for their foibles.

Which he knew would get him hits from both tu and TAMU on his site. Slamming tu has gotten him some of the highest ratings on his site and he parlayed that to a better financial deal for himself. He slams Alabama and Kentucky all the time because they both have gotten the best of the Vols in their respective sports.

I have read Clay from pretty much the beginning and he was better before he started pimping for hits. Now he is trying to become the next Paul Feinbaum only the Vols are his homer point. When TAMU starts beating up on the Vols watch how quickly he shifts from puffing TAMU to slamming them. Clay can be entertaining, just don't remain blind to his true motives.

Meh, I'm not interested in hating Clay at the moment. Can't begrudge him the hits, and what he's said about the sips has been spot on.

I mean it wasn't like an unsolicited attack. He was throwing a massive temper tantrum about how our only beat writer for two major newspapers was a fake Aggie, and making up lies, and all this other stuff... I can't remember it all, but it was really stupid. I thought it was absurd and then said what I said. But yeah it was a fricked up thing to say.

In the heat of the moment we all say things that we shouldn't. It doesn't mean it isn't true, but some things just shouldn't be said.

For example I was stupid and went to dinner with my ex and her friends and she made a statement like, "You doing things like this is the reason we aren't together anymore." To which I replied, "The reason why we aren't together anymore is because you're a fricking c**t."

That made that dinner 10,000,000,000 times more awkward that it already was.

Things might be true but they should just be left unsaid. Not like that story really compares I just felt like telling that story.

Shouldn't have gone to dinner with a stupid count.

Steak and a BJ and a man will do all sorts of foolish things. If he took her to dinner and did not at least get a BJ out of it, he is the not so bright one.

It's an embarrassment that they let that fat drunk redneck have a role as a fan spokesman.

To make the argument that the mods on this site don't have biases/grudges and such is absurd. On average they are head and shoulders above other sites but try making even a subtle Saints/LSU joke and see how long you will be able to post. Also, they aren't letting #FreeDiddy come off the bench

Each board just has a different personality. The group think is alive and well on Texags and on here.

And I'm not sure if Texags mods are biased. I actually don't think they are as a group. There's just so many mods, and all anonymous (almost), and rules not evenly applied between them so that there are many inconsistencies in their modding. With those inconsistencies people see what they want to see - too much modding, not enough, biases, etc because there's always examples to prove their personal opinion of what proper modding should look like isn't happening.

And twk is a mod but not a "main mod". They don't have any of those except for one guy.

And no general board hen was ever mod over all forums. No mod is mod over all forums. (They all have that power but are only assigned a couple boards and largely follow that)
